Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tina Biebl. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
My parents immigrated from Germany in the 1950s. They survived WWII and came to the US for a fresh new start. My father said if we don’t make it in 5 years we go back. They built a wonderful life in the states and were the best example of hardwork, teamwork, courageousness, love, and morality I could have ever had. I would never have become the person I am today without their love and support.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started a small farm 7 years ago and then production was more than our family could eat. We started doing farmers market and have been doing them ever since. The farm has transitioned a bit and now I am the owner of Arizona Pasta Pasta. We are one of the largest producers of dried vegan pasta in Arizona. We make 38 different shape/flavor combinations and sell in local stores and farmer’s markets across the valley.

Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?
Every summer is a near death moment for business owners that rely on farmers markets to sell their products. Arizona is a tough market in the summer and we just go out and do as much as possible. This July has been the toughest we have faced. We have two full-time employees and making payroll happens, but we dip into savings to make sure it does. We are always grateful for our wholesale partners and customers.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Reputation is built on quality product and responsive customer service. I believe we hit both those. Our pasta is much loved and we recive many, many compliments. We try to exceed all our customers expectations in every interaction.
