Ronn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?
One of the most innovative things I’ve done in my career happened at Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV). As we approached our second anniversary, we launched our brand campaign, “Rule the World,” to offer a fresh perspective on the RWLV experience. While exploring the property, I was inspired by the diverse array of activities happening simultaneously: an ESPN Top Rank boxing match, a Luke Bryan concert in our theater, and Ludacris performing at Zouk Nightclub—all on the same night. This moment sparked the idea to craft a narrative that captured our vision, piqued consumer interest, and showcased how individuals could see themselves in the characters of our campaign.
This endeavor was a true team effort, involving collaboration with photographer and director Kenneth Cappello, our dedicated RWLV marketing team, and our agency, B&P. We brought the concept to life together, resulting in eight awards across multiple distinguished organizations, including the Webby Honoree Recognition for Marketing Campaign.

Ronn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My journey began in Youngstown, Ohio, a place I never thought I’d leave. However, a friends offer in Las Vegas after college graduation led me to take a leap of faith. I anticipated gaining some life experience and returning to Ohio, but life had a different plan in store. I began my career in Las Vegas as a street promoter for Wynn Nightlife, gradually working my way up. During my time there, I played a crucial role in marketing and launching new venues, helping to establish the Wynn Nightlife brand through innovative marketing strategies. For over two decades, I’ve built my career in marketing and nightlife, including serving as Senior Vice President of Creative Strategy for Palms Casino’s nightlife division.
I joined RWLV as the Vice President of Marketing for Zouk Group and was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer in February 2022. My team and I were pivotal in launching Resorts World Las Vegas and creating the award-winning “Rule the World” brand campaign, which captivated the imagination of millions. Being at RWLV is incredibly special because creativity is embraced and encouraged and having that support has made all the difference in my career.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
From the very beginning at RWLV, we faced the daunting task of opening the first ground-up property on the Strip in over a decade, all during a pandemic. This
monumental feat required us to navigate global challenges and establish a brand voice at a time when brands and consumers were struggling to connect.
Its success is mainly due to a supportive team and a company that embraces non-traditional strategies, breaking down departmental barriers to create a truly integrated and unified team. I strive to empower my team to think from an experiential perspective, work collaboratively, and develop new ways to create immersive, property-wide events that exceed expectations. Whether we’re building a new campaign, transforming our property into Rodeo World for the National Finals Rodeo, or collaborating with Kevin Hart’s company Hartbeat for an immersive experience, my goal is to keep moving forward and inspire loyalty in our guests.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Its challenging to pinpoint just one significant moment because every step of my journey at RWLV has been crucial in shaping the CMO I am today. I vividly remember having dinner with Deputy Chairman Hui Lim and leaving with a profound sense that my creativity and skills were genuinely valued. RWLV fosters an inspiring environment, and the support I’ve received has been incredible. This supportive atmosphere has significantly influenced my work in nightlife, lifestyle marketing strategies, and, ultimately, my transition into the CMO role.
