Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Soyeene Lynch. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Soyeene, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
When I think back to the first time I knew I wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally, my artistic journey began in my childhood which immediately comes to mind. I was a young girl with a vivid imagination and a love for expressing herself through art. I would spend hours drawing, painting, and creating beautiful things with my hands. Growing up, I was always drawn to colors, shapes, and textures. I remember discovering my artistic abilities at a very young age when I found myself constantly doodling and sketching in my notebooks. I would lose track of time when I was engrossed in creating something new and beautiful. As I reflect on those early years, I remember the circumstances that surrounded my artistic awakening. My family always encouraged my creativity, providing me with art supplies and enrolling me in art classes. I was also fortunate to have teachers who saw my potential and nurtured my talent. One vivid memory that stands out is the first time I participated in an art exhibition and created my own business “BYOB” at my school. Seeing the reactions of people as they viewed my artwork and my storefront, filled me with a sense of joy and fulfillment that I had never experienced before. It was then that I realized the power of art to evoke emotions and connect with others on a deep level. Re-experiencing that moment with the viewers, I would convey the emotions of excitement and wonder that I felt as a young artist. I want the viewers to understand the joy and fulfillment that comes with expressing oneself through art, and storytelling and to be inspired to pursue their creative passions. My journey to discovering my artistic path was filled with moments of self-discovery and encouragement, and it ultimately laid the foundation for my decision to pursue a career in the arts.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I consider myself to be a multi-talented individual who has ventured into various creative fields, including digital content creation, art, entrepreneurship, and acting. My journey into the industry began with the launch of a makeup line, So’Glo Cosmetics, and now a luxury fashion modesty line called “Lynwall Classics” featuring heels, clothing, and handbags. This entrepreneurial endeavor not only showcased my creativity but also embodied my values of elegance and modesty. In addition to my fashion line, I’ve established a support group aimed at motivating and empowering entrepreneurs. Through digital content, motivational quotes, and valuable resources, I believe I’ve been instrumental in helping others navigate the challenges of starting a business and more. My foray into acting has also been noteworthy, with notable appearances in productions such as “The Big Cigar,” “Painkiller,” and “Five Days at Memorial.” My ability to diversify my talents across multiple disciplines, I believe sets me apart from others in the industry. What I am most happy about is the impact I’ve had on my viewers and followers over the years. I have provided valuable support and motivation to aspiring entrepreneurs while also creating high-quality fashion and art. My commitment to empowering others through my work is evident in everything I have done. Ultimately, what I want potential clients, and followers to know is that I am more than a digital content creator, artist, and entrepreneur. I am a source of inspiration, a provider of valuable resources, and a creator of beautiful, elegant fashion. Through my work, I aim to uplift and motivate others, showcasing the power of creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurship.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
During the global pandemic, I faced a pivotal moment when I had to make a challenging decision about the future of my makeup business. As the pandemic unfolded and the use of masks became widespread, I realized that the demand for makeup products and services was declining rapidly. After much consideration, I made the difficult decision to put a hold on my makeup business and pivot to a different career path. Losing my job in the middle of a pandemic was a major setback, but it also presented an opportunity for me to reassess my priorities and pursue a new direction. I had to make the tough choice to leave behind my established career in the makeup industry and explore new possibilities for professional growth. It was a daunting prospect, but I knew that I had to adapt to the changing circumstances and chart a new course for my future. Losing the support of family and friends because I decided to pursue my dreams was a challenging and pivotal moment in my life. It was difficult to watch relationships change because my priorities shifted, and my family and friends didn’t understand the choices I was making. I had to stay focused on my goals and remind myself that pursuing my dreams was the right decision for me, even if it meant losing some along the way. This experience taught me the importance of staying true to myself and not compromising my ambitions for the sake of others’ understanding. Another pivotal moment in my life came when I faced the decision to move to another country. Leaving behind everything I had built in Toronto was a tough choice, but the prospect of marriage and closing the gaps in my life in a new country was a powerful motivator. Starting over in an unfamiliar environment was challenging, but the opportunity to be with my loved ones made it a decision worth making. These pivotal moments have taught me to embrace change and adapt to new circumstances. While each decision brought its own set of challenges, it also opened up new opportunities for personal and professional growth. I’ve learned that pivoting in business, career, and life requires courage, resilience, and a willingness to embrace new beginnings.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn was the need to have everything meticulously planned out before taking action. The pandemic taught me that time waits for no one, and it reinforced the importance of being obedient and following the path set for me . I realized that I need to stop hesitating just because there’s no clear budget or plan in place. It’s crucial for me to be more open to collaboration and focus on building an interactive experience. Learning the value of patience in business growth was a significant lesson for me. I realized that rushing through the process and giving up too soon could easily derail me from the path I was meant to be on. Embracing patience allowed me to stay focused on my long-term goals and make more informed decisions. I learned that success takes time, and perseverance is key to overcoming obstacles and reaching new heights in business. This realization has been instrumental in guiding my approach to entrepreneurship and has ultimately led to more sustainable and fulfilling achievements. Additionally, I’ve learned to be more discerning about who I entrust with my vision and growth because not everyone is on the same path or share the same journey as myself.
