We were lucky to catch up with Kiara Davis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kiara , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
What many perceive as taking a risk, I consider a leap of faith. One of the most significant and gratifying steps in my journey as an entrepreneur was entrusting my gifts and talents to the Lord, Jesus Christ. In doing so, I committed to bringing glory to His name through every gift/talent he has blessed me with . This decision required a profound act of faith—surrendering every dream and goal to His will, relinquishing my own control, etc . It taught me to rely on His guidance and the wisdom found in Proverbs 3:5-6, which instructs us to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly, acknowledge Him in all our endeavors, and lean not on our own understanding.
This scripture became one of many anchors during times of apparent stagnation or uncertainty, reassuring me that if God has planted dreams and visions within me, He will also provide the means to birth them. The rewards of his faithfulness are evident as I witness His hand moving in my entrepreneurial journey. This interview, for instance, is a testament to His blessings, allowing me to share insights from my journey that may inspire others.
Kiara , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am actively involved in modeling, hip-hop dancing, and fitness training. While currently focused on modeling and pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, I also continue to enjoy dancing. My entry into the fashion industry was marked by enthusiasm, involving participation in various campaigns and attending casting calls. I’ve been fortunate to contribute to hair and skin campaigns, commercial advertisements, runway shows, and have secured representation with an agency. These experiences have not only provided me with valuable insights into the modeling industry but have also motivated me to support aspiring individuals as they navigate their own paths into this field.
I am currently developing resources aimed at assisting newcomers and those looking to enhance their presence in the industry. These initiatives include ebooks, model seminars, classes focused on self-improvement guided by biblical principles, and resources for connecting with photographers, among many other factors !
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My aspiration is to empower countless individuals on their unique journeys within this industry, all the while advancing on my own path under the guidance of the Lord.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most fulfilling aspect for me is observing personal growth. It’s truly exhilarating to witness not only my own development but also the continuous evolution of my talents and perspectives. Sharing what I love and creating a meaningful impact, regardless of its scale, brings immense joy and purpose to my journey.
