Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Seek Valeur. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Seek , appreciate you joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
I wouldn’t rather be anything else other than an artist. It brings me fulfillment to be able to express myself through the visual and physical world. I don’t have a plan b my only plan is to express myself through my mediums for the rest of my life. I have had thoughts in the past what it would be like if i took the safe route of working a regular and inclusive/ viable job and ive done my fair share of working regular jobs but regardless i find myself in the same position of unhappiness. i struggle to find good jobs either way it goes due to specific circumstances. figure everything out to the best of my ability with what i have and i feel like that adds a lot to my story. i’ve had to learn to enjoy the journey instead of longing for the success because nothing happens over night.

Seek , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into the fashion industry due to my love of the late alexander mcqueens runway shows. his runway shows showed me that you can express yourself through stories almost in a cinematic way. there is an endless amount of possibilities in the fashion industry as far as expression goes. i feel that out of every art form creating clothing is viable because everyone needs clothing. i don’t just make clothing for necessity though i make it for self expression more than anything. i think that im set apart from others because like i said previously i design and construct for expression not really for necessity. i do this because i love it and although money is important i know that it will come with time. i am proud to say that i have sold clothing across the world in the uk and surrounding countries and i have also traveled around the us for my business. i am thankful for the continuous love and support from my team and the people who truly believe in my vision. there is still so much farther to go and i will never stop learning.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
life itself.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
my art is for whoever can identify with it. if you love it you love it if you hate it you hate it. it’s all within the eye of the beholder and i have no right to dictate that.
