Alright, Ovcharka thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
We are currently working entirely freelance for ourselves. For the past four years, we have been earning a living from our creative work, while traveling and living in different places. This didn’t happen overnight; it involved a lot of hard work and many decisions. We left our steady, paid jobs that didn’t bring us joy and consumed all our time, and we started working on our own brand.
Instagram became our main platform, where we posted new art daily, gained followers, and engaged with the community of fellow artists. After some time, this began to bring in our first clients, and soon our brand started growing rapidly. We realized that we could fully commit to our creative work full-time.
Nowadays, Instagram’s algorithms don’t work as they used to, making it much harder to find clients. However, we are also developing other social media platforms to stay afloat.
