We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Queenasia Moore. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Queenasia below.
Hi Queenasia, thanks for joining us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
A defining moment in my professional career was realizing that strangers will be your biggest supporters and to not expect support from anyone you personally know but to just pour your passion into what you do and the people you affect. When I first started my business, I would always seek support and business from people I knew, I wanted to pour all my energy into those people offering free services and basically low balling my business until something clicked and changed the trajectory of my career. Once seeing that I had strangers willing to pay my full price, purchase my products without asking for discounts and promote based off of word of mouth simply because of how efficient and rewarding my services are, I knew… that would be the change I needed to push me further. I learned to run my business out of no expectations, love, passion and energy and the people will come to you seeking you and your services. I learned to never ever expect the people you know to support because most times you will be disappointed and for some people, that disappointment, can actually negatively affect you and your business if you let it.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Queenasia Moore, also know as Queen and I am a licensed massage therapist. I’ve been running my business(Zuri Massage – Massages by Queen) for close to 2 years now providing massage therapy services and selling efficient skin care, candles/body care products with my most popular and best sellers being my massage therapy services, Zuri Massage Detoxing Charcoal Mask, Zuri Massage Drying Spot Treatment, Zuri Massage Massage Oil Candles and my Zuri Massage Cold Brew Beard Oil. How I got into massage therapy was by first, getting my education from the Swedish Institute in NYC and passing the state board to be able to safely, ethically, and professionally offer my gift to the world. I provide a variety of relief to clients, with time eventually solving their issues such as discomfort in the body, bringing more clarity to the mind and confidence in appearance from dedicated use of my products. What sets me apart from others is my energy, plain and simple. No one can offer you the experience I can because I bring individual intention to each and every client which makes my sessions tailored specifically to that person by listening to their wants and needs and also connecting with the energy radiating from their body. I’ve been working on my products since 2020, before officially launching, using myself as the test dummy to make sure quality was being released and until this day I continue to use my products. None of what I do is about the money, this is just my calling for the world. What I am most proud of is honestly my clients. I love each and every person I’ve encountered because each body I am honored to touch tells me a story and teaches me. I am just so proud of my clients and honored when they return back for services/products, I’m honored when they tell friends and family about me and I am honored when I am receiving opportunities outside of my wildest dreams simply for doing what I was called to do and what I love. What I would love for clients, followers and fans of my work to know about my business and brand is that I named my business after someone who means the absolute world to me.. my daughter Zuri and with that being said, she is the gift to my world so I intend to honor her name and release my gift to the world with providing nothing but love, care and energy through touch and through my products. Everything I do is based off of experience and being in your shoes and wishing I had a practitioner to actually listen to my concerns like I do with my own clients. The world is huge and filled with so many people and although I connect with most, I won’t connect with all and that’s also okay but one things for certain is that you will feel the effort and love with our encounter no matter the outcome.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What I think helped me build my reputation within my market is first and foremost, word of mouth.. but through the mouths of strangers and the people you wouldn’t expect but genuinely want to see you flourish. What has also helped was collaborations, features, networking events and social media.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back I would absolutely choose the same profession, this is one of the main things I was put on earth to do! When it’s your calling, you answer and see how much life changes for you in your favor! You haven’t felt joy until you have one of your clients thanking you for your services on the verge of tears because of how much you’ve decreased their pain when no one else could, now THAT, is an indescribable feeling!
