We were lucky to catch up with Billy Rood recently and have shared our conversation below.
Billy, appreciate you joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
In this masculine reality of the ego mind, often referred to as “the Matrix,” I’ve always felt like an outsider. From a young age, I was plagued by profound questions: Why am I here? What is my purpose? The answer, I discovered, was creation. Being creative gave my life meaning and direction.
Whether through writing, filmmaking, photography, editing, or music, the act of creating became my emotional outlet. I was once a fashion photographer in NYC, shooting for high-profile clients like Oscar De La Renta, Saks, Amazon, and Nike. Yet, despite the prestige, the creativity felt disposable, mirroring my own feelings of being insignificant.
That realization prompted a shift. I moved away from creating forgettable content to crafting meaningful work that empowers and enlightens. By exploring esoteric symbolism, I help people understand profound spiritual concepts through the imagery and storytelling in movies and TV. My mission is to illuminate the purpose of this reality, moving beyond the grind of an unfulfilled life. Wouldn’t you want to uncover that purpose and reason?
This quest is why I create the content found on FIFTY8Magazine.com. My work aims to awaken people from the illusion and constraints of the ego mind, guiding them into a realm of limitless creation and heartfelt abundant energy.
Inspired by my experiences in meditation and dreams, my visions fuel my curiosity about spirituality and manifestation. Where do ideas come from? How do they manifest into reality? Is our imagination a tool for creation?
My business strives not only to help people but to empower them to become creators of their dream. My creative work visually teaches and helps others tap into their inner power to achieve their dreams, challenging the limiting beliefs ingrained in us since childhood.
In a world dominated by intellect and ego, my business model is one of the hardest to succeed at. However, the transformations I witness in those I help prove its worth. Like powerful films, creativity and art can change lives. They leave a lasting impact on those searching for answers, transforming lives from lack to abundance, fear to excitement, and comfort zones to adventures in the unknown.
My journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been profoundly rewarding. Every piece of content I create, every story I tell, and every symbol I decipher is a step towards illuminating the path for others. It’s about showing that life isn’t just about existing within the constraints of the ego mind but about breaking free and embracing the boundless potential of our hearts and spirits.
Through FIFTY8Magazine.com, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible transformations that can happen when people tap into their creative power and discover their true purpose. It’s more than just a business; it’s a movement. A movement towards a more enlightened, abundant, and fulfilling existence.
So, if you’ve ever felt like an outsider, if you’ve questioned your purpose, or if you’ve yearned for a life filled with meaning and creativity, I invite you to join me. Let’s explore the mysteries of the universe, unlock the power of our imagination, and create a world where our dreams aren’t just possibilities but realities.
Billy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a Creative Director of Energy, an artist who uses photography, filmmaking, design, and sound to help others shape their desired lives. I’ve always seen immense potential in media to empower, rather than perpetuate the cycle of disposable content. Which is incredibly exciting as people are now more open to evolution and creativity.
Through my own awakening, I’ve channeled my passion into creating FIFTY8, a visual platform dedicated to presenting a synthesis of knowledge and teachings to empower your life by self actualizing your dreams.
My journey has been enriched by studying under extraordinary teachers, including an initiated Monk from Tibet and a Master Teacher from an Ancient School of Wisdom in Romania. Combined with my own self-discoveries, FIFTY8 serves as a medium to express and share these sacred teachings, helping others conquer self-judgments, disbeliefs, and the limiting habits of the human personality. My goal is to guide you toward realizing your greatest and unlimited potential—your Spirit.
I draw parallels between life and movies to simplify these teachings. By being conscious of the scripts we write and the characters we play, we can transform our lives. Our thoughts are the crew, our emotions the actors, our manifestations the props, and the times of day the scenes. Through this lens, we can understand the movie we’ve been creating and shape the future roles we wish to experience.
I also have other online businesses called Faceless Digital Magnetism on instagram (https://www.instagram.com/facelessdigitalmagnetism/) where I teach how to manifest and create wealth online and an e-comm shop called Elysian with products dedicated to providing ethical, sustainable beauty and fashion products that empower women to express their unique personalities and live a life of abundance, love, and spiritual fulfillment.
But most of my content is free and on FIFTY8, I offer individual and group workshops designed to empower the mind and connect you to your Spirit. These sessions include open dialogues on these teachings and practical tools to overcome all obstacles. By understanding this reality and who we truly are, we can master the Art of Harmony and create lives filled with purpose and unlimited potential.
If you feel stuck, yearning for more, and sensing a powerful awakening within you, I can help. Like in the Matrix, I can show you the door, but you must walk through it. Once you do, I guarantee that everything you desire is waiting for you on the other side in ways you can’t even imagine.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a content creator is witnessing the profound effect it can have on people’s lives. Seeing that transformation in others is what life is all about. Nurturing, growing, and learning have shaped me into the person I am today, and I carry that philosophy into everything I do. It’s not about the likes, followers, or fame, but the genuine connections and relationships forged along the way.
I’ve always seen immense potential in filmmaking and understanding our subconscious to help people transform their lives. By mastering filmmaking and exploring how we create our reality, I aim to inspire others to reach higher states of consciousness and being, where they become confident, brave, and fearless in pursuing their dreams.
My ultimate goal is to create a feature film that, after watching, helps you find your soulmate. It’s an ambitious endeavor, something that has never been done before, but I constantly challenge myself with the question, “What if?”
That has been the inspiration for all my content and will continue to be as I know once you find that connection within yourself, nothing is out of reach but only a thought away.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I’ve always been a romantic at heart, driven by the desire to bring light to people’s lives through humor, romance, knowledge, and empowerment. But my journey didn’t start that way.
I was adopted at the age of four and have never known my real parents or where I truly come from. That experience instilled a deep sense of abandonment, loneliness, and fear. My childhood was filled with profound questions, especially for someone so young. I also had psychic gifts and “alien” experiences that I could never understand. Whenever I tried to share those experiences, I was ridiculed, judged, and sometimes abandoned. This darkness and uncertainty led to self-doubt, depression, and a suicide attempt as a teenager.
But then I saw three films that changed my life forever: E.T., Psycho, and Fight Club. These films opened my eyes to the reality that much of our suffering stems from the mind—an idea symbolized in Star Wars by Darth Vader and Kylo Ren. This unseen, silent threat controls many until they become aware of it and remember who they truly are. It’s the same feeling you get when you fall in love, witness the birth of your child, or immerse yourself in nature. That feeling is called silence or love.
When I realized that the mind was behind all my anguish, suffering and pain I started to ignore it and feel my way through all my struggles. From being an abandoned orphan to a passionate, creative romantic.
Since then, I’ve devoted my life to testing my creative ability and manifestation powers, learning the art of non-doing and inspired action to create my dreams. To love my desires into creation instead of overthinking, doubting and settling.
Through FIFTY8, I channel these experiences to help others find their path, discover their strengths, and transform their lives. My goal is to create a feature film that helps you find your soulmate—a seemingly wild ambition, but one that stems from my belief in the power of connection and love.
In the end, my mission is simple: to help you see the beauty and potential within yourself as I did. Because when you find that connection within, nothing is out of reach—everything you desire is just like creating a movie. Write it, produce it, direct it and act it in imagination and watch your reality become that movie where you are the main character experiencing your dreams.
