We recently connected with Quinna Oceanna Water and have shared our conversation below.
Quinna Oceanna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Starting a business is a HUGE risk. Not only in terms of Finances and success rates, but also emotionally. Starting a coaching business at 24 and expanding into the retreat business at 25 is a risk many would never take.
When stepping off the trail most traveled by there is always a risk of criticism, judgment, and of course failure.
When I first started learning about digital marketing and social media advertising, my mentor told me that I needed to get on video RAW, LIVE, and ALL THE TIME. I needed to share my values, my vision, my story, my goals, and be ok with people seeing me. Talk about RISKY!
I remember feeling so self-conscious and brimming over with imposter syndrome. Every time I would turn on my camera to record I would feel shaky and so exposed. It was exhausting! At first I would record for 20 minutes and then feel as though I needed a 4 hour nap! When I dug deeper into why I felt a deep resistance to being seen, I came to realize that perfectionism was a huge player.
I felt that I needed to be fully confident (perfect) before sharing my offering with the world.
I would have thoughts like… what if I fail? Yea but…WHAT IF I PUT MYSELF OUT THERE AND THEN FAIL!!!???
I had to completely reframe my definition of failure.
I had to redefine my definition of success too.
I realized that visibility is not about being perfect; it’s about being seen as you truly are.
I adopted the phrase ‘with the right person, there is nothing you can do wrong…but with the wrong person, there is nothing you can do right.’
We each have a special gift, a unique perspective and approach. When we are able to claim the space we take up on this planet, we do a service to the whole world. The risk of staying small and letting life pass by without living to your fullest potential is a much greater risk than I’m willing to take!
Visibility and being witnessed is vulnerable, yes…but this type of vulnerability is exactly what the business world needs more of…authentic, raw, inspired, and full of integrity.
Over time I began to get more comfortable with sharing my gifts, being seen, and speaking up. I slowly built up my tolerance for the discomfort of being witnessed in this way and it turned from anxiety to just another part of my day.
The payoff of watching women transform and reflect that courage back to me is worth every moment of that risk! It reminds me that courage is the first step to living life fully.
One of my favorite quotes on risk is- “ And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Anais Nin

Quinna Oceanna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Quinna Oceanna Water, a business empowerment coach with a unique journey that led me to where I am today. My path into this industry began unexpectedly when I started a rotating cuisine pop-up kitchen at the age of 22. While I knew this wasn’t my long-term career, it served as a valuable learning experience in business ownership. Through this venture, I discovered that marketing was a crucial aspect of business success – after all, even the best business can’t thrive if no one knows about it!
This realization sparked my passion for marketing, and I quickly pivoted to focus on this area. I found immense joy in helping entrepreneurs build the backend of their businesses, assisting with everything from funnels and websites to copywriting, social media strategies, and email marketing campaigns. As I delved deeper into this work, I noticed a pattern: I could implement identical marketing strategies for two different clients in the same industry, yet achieve vastly different results. This observation led me to explore the impact of mindset on business success.
Drawing from my background in transpersonal psychology, which I studied while training to become a counselor, I began incorporating teachings about the power of the subconscious mind and the influence of mindset on results. The impact was phenomenal. I was astounded by how quickly things could change when we addressed the root of limiting beliefs.
This revelation prompted me to transition into supporting women in overcoming their limiting beliefs, particularly around money, self-worth, and confidence. I started by taking on one-on-one clients and offering workshops, and the powerful feedback I received encouraged me to expand my services to include group coaching, speaking engagements, and retreats.
Today, I’ve consolidated all my offerings into a comprehensive membership program that adapts to different phases of the business journey. What sets me apart is my holistic approach that combines practical business strategies with deep mindset work. I utilize an all-in-one software platform to manage business backend operations, facilitate accountability calls, and provide personalized one-on-one support.
The core theme of my work is about becoming more authentically yourself and allowing your true purpose to guide you towards greater freedom, wealth, joy, and pleasure. I’m most proud of the transformations I’ve witnessed in my clients – seeing women break through their limitations, step into their power, and achieve success on their own terms is incredibly rewarding.
For potential clients and followers, I want you to know that my approach is both practical and deeply transformative. Whether you’re just starting your business journey or looking to take your existing business to the next level, I provide the tools, strategies, and support you need to succeed. But more than that, I create a space for you to reconnect with your authentic self, overcome limiting beliefs, and tap into your true potential.
After witnessing the powerful transformations that can occur in workshops and retreats I realized that the next step is making those breakthroughs last. Integration and sustainability. Taking those lessons and incorporating them into our day to day life as habits and new neural pathways. This takes time, accountability, and ongoing support.
My EMPOWERED WOMEN RISE TOGETHER membership offers three tiers of support:
Stability & Support: This foundational tier provides monthly one-on-one coaching, weekly accountability calls, and access to all live classes and workshops.
Expansion & Growth: This tier includes everything in Stability & Support, plus a world-class retreat for a more immersive transformative experience.
THE NEXT LEVEL: Our premium tier offers all the benefits of Expansion & Growth, with two world-class retreats, including an ethical business adventure, and the highest level of personalized support and exclusive opportunities.
Each tier is designed to meet you where you are and provide the perfect blend of practical business support and personal growth opportunities. My goal is to empower women to rise together, creating a community of successful, fulfilled, and authentically empowered leaders and entrepreneurs.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The most transformative lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that wanting money, wealth, and abundance was inherently bad or greedy. I had absorbed phrases like “money corrupts” and “money is the root of all evil,” which left me feeling bitter and envious towards those who had more.
The backstory of this journey begins with me trapped in a cycle of scarcity and undervaluing myself. There were times when it felt like I was barely treading water, putting up with crap and charging less than I deserved, because(I didn’t realize it at the time) I had some serious money self-sabotage going on. I had no idea that it was self-inflicted. That these were deep subconscious beliefs that I had the choice to shape.
When I started diving into my money mindset, everything shifted. I began to recognize how the thoughts I was thinking were working against me and became aware of the habits I participated in that kept me in patterns of lack. This awareness opened me up to create different patterns which led to a different life.
I read endless books about the subconscious mind and how to reprogram it. I learned that repetition, faith, and consistency were key to creating lasting change. Armed with this knowledge, I began to challenge and reframe my beliefs about money.
Through implementing new thought patterns, adopting new daily habits, surrounding myself with different peers, and essentially creating a whole new identity, I transformed my relationship with money. I went from being stuck in patterns of lack, charging below my worth, and struggling financially to building a life that pays and that I am madly in love with.
This journey taught me that our beliefs about money are not fixed truths but learned perspectives that can be changed. I unlearned the idea that wanting financial abundance was selfish or wrong. Instead, I shifted into the understanding that money can be a powerful tool for positive change, both in my own life and in the world around me.
Today, I stand as living proof that it’s possible to turn adversity into opportunity, scarcity into abundance, and doubt into unwavering faith. This personal transformation has fueled my passion for helping others uncover and overcome their self-sabotaging money patterns.
The lesson I had to unlearn – that wanting money is bad – has become the cornerstone of my work. I now know that it’s possible for anyone to create a life filled with abundance, steady cash flow, and an unshakable belief in their financial future. It all starts with recognizing and reshaping the beliefs held within our subconscious mind.
This journey of unlearning and relearning has not only transformed my financial life but has also become the driving force behind my mission to empower others to achieve their full financial potential.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
The cornerstone of building my reputation within my market has undoubtedly been authenticity. When I made the conscious decision to share fully, authentically, and vulnerably, it became the key to establishing the crucial ‘know, like, and trust’ factor with my audience.
Opening up and allowing people into my vision, values, and processes was a game-changer. This transparency created a genuine connection with my audience, allowing them to see the real person behind the brand. It’s this authenticity that has resonated deeply with the women I serve.
A significant part of my reputation has been built on creating transformative experiences. I focus on crafting environments where women can break through their own barriers and experience profound ‘aha’ moments. These breakthrough experiences have a ripple effect. In my small town community and in today’s age of social media, word of mouth is incredibly powerful. The positive transformations that women experience in my programs spread quickly, further enhancing my reputation.
Living in a small town has made me acutely aware that everything I say and do reflects on my brand. This realization has reinforced the importance of transparency in all my actions. I consistently aim to be open and honest about my vision, speaking directly to women who are ready to level up their lives, businesses, and mindsets.
Another key factor in building my reputation has been my approach to marketing. I believe in ‘marketing up’ – speaking to my clients’ and followers’ aspirations and best selves. Rather than focusing on pain points, I choose to highlight the potential for growth and transformation. I believe this positive, aspirational approach has significantly contributed to my growth within my field.
At its core though, I believe that my reputation has been built on the foundation of genuine care for the women I serve.
