Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diamond Hill. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Diamond, thanks for joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
I have navigated through a series of transformative experiences that have deeply shaped both my professional journey and personal growth. My reflection on these defining moments highlights resilience and a profound ability to find meaning and learning in every circumstance.
My encounters with setbacks and challenges have led me to connect with individuals who resonate with my values and support my journey, forming my “tribe.” Similarly, losing vehicles has provided unexpected opportunities for meaningful connections and interactions with people from diverse backgrounds, enriching my perspective and understanding of what is happening around me.
My upbringing as a single parent child and my decision to wait until marriage have not only taught me about the pitfalls of comparison but also underscored the uniqueness and beauty of my own life’s narrative, shaped by faith and personal choices.
By embracing each moment—whether positive or negative—as a source of growth and learning, I’ve adorned myself with “diamonds on my armor,” symbolizing the strength and wisdom gained from my hardship.
In essence, my career trajectory has been influenced by a mosaic of experiences that have equipped me with empathy, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the lessons learned along the way. These moments continue to define and refine me, shaping my professional path and enriching my personal story.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Any advice for managing a team?
I find that accountability and a willingness to learn are key to upholding strong morals and effectively managing a team. There was a time when I juggled multiple roles, which made delegating tasks and fostering trust among my team challenging. However, through candid discussions and embracing feedback on my communication, I gained clarity on both myself and my business. Respect is essential in all types of relationships, and maintaining it is paramount.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I remember my time as a housing case manager, juggling nearly 30 clients on my caseload. Some weeks, I became so immersed in their lives that I neglected my own needs. I’ve always been adaptable and have a strong determination that makes it difficult for me to quit. Looking back on that period, I can now smile, knowing I embraced the opportunity to counsel—a role I’ve always been passionate about, even before officially holding the title. Transitioning from case management to counseling felt natural and smooth, serving as a reminder that breakdowns often pave the way for breakthroughs in life.
