Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lady J. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lady , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I’m Lady J, known as “The Bounce Back Queen.” My journey has been a rollercoaster of traumas and hardships that could have easily taken me down. I’ve survived abuse, homelessness, addiction, rape, suicidal ideation, even a near-fatal ruptured brain aneurysm, and more. But instead of letting these challenges break me, I’ve used them to fuel my resilience and strength.
I started at rock bottom, facing what seemed like impossible obstacles. Abuse left me struggling to find my worth, homelessness took away my stability, and addiction clouded my sense of self. Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, I suffered a brain aneurysm, staring death in the face. But every single one of these hardships only made me stronger and more determined.
Out of these trials, I discovered my purpose: helping others find their way back to recovery and resilience. That’s why I created the BounceBackology platform. Here, I share my story and offer tools, support, and encouragement to those facing similar battles. As an Award-Winning Community Leader, Speaker, Rising Multimedia Mogul, Author, Mentor, and Serial Entrepreneur, I’ve dedicated my life to empowering others to conquer the impossible. The BounceBack Program under this company is designed to help others master the art of bouncing back as they tap into how to activate resilience repeatedly.
One of my most powerful projects is the “I Survived Suicide” Movement. This initiative is close to my heart because it emerged from my darkest times, when trauma and depression made me feel like I had no way out. Our movement’s tagline, “Pain is inevitable. Situations are changeable. Suicide is preventable, but death is eternal,” perfectly sums up our message. By sharing our deeply personal stories of suicide attempts and survival, we aim to educate, inspire, and support those struggling with suicidal thoughts.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
After rebuilding my life emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually, I found my purpose and started an “Out the Box” youth and family social support and mentoring program inspired by my popular book series, Life Support. This program, and my life story combined with my education, give me a unique toolkit to help others conquer the impossible and succeed in life. This journey also shaped me into a dynamic speaker, known for incorporating live demonstrations and activities into my talks, whether they’re personal or professional topics.
I began my journey when I launched my nonprofit, No Limits Ministry. It was important that I became for others what I struggled to find. Whether it was homeless individuals or families in need.
For over 14 years, I’ve been serving the homeless community, at-risk youth, individuals who are struggling with trauma and hardships, and more.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal driving my creative journey is to ensure my visuals and demonstrations help to give a clear understanding of the message. So many people grasp a message or lesson better when they have a visual and can see how A to Z works.
A great example of this would be the “I Survived Suicide” movie which is based on the book “I Survived Suicide.” The film depicts the issues that lead to suicidal ideation, the mindset of different individuals, and how they now use their story to help others.
One of my most impactful initiatives is the “I Survived Suicide” Movement. This movement is incredibly personal to me, as it was born from my darkest moments when trauma and depression made me feel like there was no way out. By sharing our deeply personal stories of suicide attempts and survival, we aim to educate, inspire, and support those struggling with suicidal thoughts.
Through the I Survived Suicide Movement, we offer resources, support, and a platform for individuals to share their stories anonymously. Our film, which I co-wrote and produced, tells the powerful true stories of four women on the brink of self-destruction due to trauma and depression. This film, along with our other literary works, serves as a beacon of hope for those who feel alone and trapped in their struggles.
The book “I Survived Suicide” takes readers into the very moments of our darkest thoughts and attempts, showing how we survived, healed, and found liberation from the factors that pushed us to the brink. Our stories are not just about survival; they are about thriving and finding purpose in the wake of pain.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I met my partners for the “I Survived Suicide” film, Therron Dumas and Leslie Pryor, in a rather serendipitous way. Therron and I initially crossed paths while working on another production. As we got to talking about our lives and business ambitions, we realized we had a lot in common. Therron’s experience and credentials were exactly what I needed to bring my vision to life.
After our initial conversations, I sent Therron the script for “I Survived Suicide,” and his enthusiasm and insight were immediately apparent. We connected with Leslie, who helped with casting for the film. I met Leslie through social media. We had become good friends and supported each other’s endeavors for a couple of years. She is a master at stage plays and Live productions. Therron took on the role of my directing and producing partner, and together, we worked to bring the script to life.
