We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Romero Malone a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Romero , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
In life’s tapestry, risks are often threads that weave intricate patterns of success. When I embarked on my journey as a flight attendant in 2017, I felt a sense of fulfillment. However, a longing within me yearned for something more. In 2022, I took a leap of faith and pursued my passion for music and content creation.
At first, it was daunting tying to figure out how to manage my professional career as well as my own personal goals and dreams was scary. Yet, I knew I had to embrace the unknown if I wanted to grow in my professional career and as an artist and individual. The risks I took opened up a world of opportunities, allowing me to share my creative voice with the world.
Similarly, my decision to transition to a mainline airline carrier last year was a calculated gamble. It involved leaving familiar surroundings and facing new challenges. But I believed in my abilities and the potential for growth within this new airline. The risk paid off, leading to enhanced skills and experiences that have enriched my career.
Through these experiences, I have learned the immense value of calculated risk-taking. Learning that not only can I be a creative but I can also juggle a professional work career as well. Sometimes, life’s most rewarding paths lie beyond the boundaries of comfort. By stepping out of our zones, we unlock hidden potential and create space for transformative experiences.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Romero Malone. I consider myself a multifaceted individual who wears many hats. As an actor, singer, recording artist, and digital content creator, I pour my passion into the creative arts. My talents extend beyond the stage; I am also a skilled flight attendant, who loves to delight my passengers with my engaging personality all while providing exceptional service.
My unwavering belief in the transformative power of personal branding shines through my personal endeavors. I understand that my name is the most valuable asset and I invest in building a strong reputation that reflects my diverse skills and talents. Through captivating performances, inspiring speeches, and engaging content, I strive to leave a lasting impact on those who encounter me.
Despite the challenges of maintaining a balance between my professional and personal pursuits, I approach life with unwavering determination. I recognize the importance of investing in myself as I pursue my creative passions alongside my professional responsibilities. I refuse to be confined by traditional boundaries which allows me to explore my full potential and achieve success in various spheres.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist/ creative to me is the fact that it’s mines. It’s from my mind. It comes from my heart. It usually starts off as nothing but as I began to think and meditate on what a project could become whether it’s a monologue, a song, or speech something beautiful is then formed. Being an artist is like watching a child grow up that can barley walk or talk but then they start to mature. You can recall when they were so small. I relate being an artist to that. When it grows, it can grow into something beautiful or beyond your imagination that it came from and I think that aspect is absolutely beautiful.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most valuable lessons I had to unlearn was find the one thing you’re passionate about and stick with that. I learned the importance of embracing multi dimensionality. Society often pressures us to conform to narrow definitions of success and identity. We are told to pursue a single career path, neglecting the vast array of interests and talents that lie within us.
However, life is not a linear journey. It is full of unexpected twists and turns that can lead us down unforeseen paths. Instead of resisting these changes, I have learned to embrace them as opportunities for growth and discovery. My own journey has been a testament to this principle. While I initially pursued a traditional education, I ultimately found my calling in the airline industry. Along the way, I have also explored my passions for social media content creation, music, acting, and entertainment.
The key to unlocking our full potential lies in breaking out of the confines of societal expectations. We should not allow others to define who we are or what we can achieve. When people tell us that the sky is the limit, we should respond that even the sky is too low.
This mindset allows us to explore all possibilities and exhaust every option. It gives us the freedom to experiment with different careers, hobbies, and interests without fear of judgment or failure. By embracing multidimensionality, we open ourselves up to a world of opportunities and experiences that would otherwise remain closed to us.
