We recently connected with Tiara Feyjoo and have shared our conversation below.
Tiara, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Often the greatest growth and the biggest wins come right after a defeat. Other times the failure serves as a lesson that’s helpful later in your journey. We’d appreciate if you could open up about a time you’ve failed.
Starting my business “Pretty Girl Promo LLC” I had a group of women coming together for events, parties, business collabs etc. I started this group with over 50% of friends I grew up with. Women who knew me since middle school and high school so before I became a business owner so the respect wasn’t all the way there…I experience a lot of lash back, criticism, women not taking it seriously, and more. I also brought new ladies in that I treated like a close friend-sharing personal business etc. Well you can guess that it all back fired when things didn’t go there way.
Only trust 1-2 people in your life with personal information. Everyone doesn’t need to know everything.
When mixing personal with business, keep business as business at all times. Keep personal, personal at all times.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Pretty Girl Promo LLC D.B.A Feyjoo Productions and Marketing will promote and market your services, products or events. Our services range from mass messaging, creation of voiceovers, reels, and even down to appearances from our ladies. The production piece includes “The Moms With Motion” Podcast, host/MC services, radio services/entertainment, and much more.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I am currently pivoting and listening to God. Pretty Girl Promo LLC is still here and accepting business as it sees fit; however we are incognito for the most part due to myself needing to focus down on strengthening my foundation in my home. I am a grown woman and mother of 3 little girls and they will always come first! Being able to fully provide for them and having a healthy mental state will always come first! I believe with a strong foundation will come an even stronger platform.
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
One of my former businesses- “Twerk Out 2-6” which is dance classes and events for the community started off to be very successful in sales. I was 2 months pregnant with the twins when I had my first class, so I was very nauseous and sick. I had every odd up against me especially to teach but I decided to do it anyway and our first class had over 20 students!! They all enjoyed it fully!! Continued that business for 2-3 years.
