Hi Janine , thanks for joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Janine’s journey to becoming the new face of Fat Daddy’s Pizzeria began when she was working as an admin in the background. Suddenly thrust into the role of owner after her partner’s unexpected departure, she had to learn to balance being a full-time mom with running two pizzerias. Determined to master her new responsibilities, Janine learned how to make dough from scratch, toss a pizza, and explore various flavor combinations. Through this hands-on training, she realized she had the capability to be a successful pizzeria owner. Driven by a desire to share her unique story and promote Fat Daddy’s Pizzeria, Janine hired a marketing team to help her tell her story and show the world who she is. Through her strength and the perseverance of her team, Janine continues to succeed in her journey of being a pizzeria owner.

Janine’s journey to becoming the owner of Fat Daddy’s Pizzeria was unexpected and swift. Initially, she worked diligently behind the scenes as an admin, managing the back-end operations with precision. As a partner in the business, she was deeply involved but never envisioned herself at the forefront. However, when her partner had to leave suddenly, Janine found herself thrust into the leadership role. Almost overnight, she went from handling administrative tasks to running two bustling pizzerias, embracing the challenge with determination and resilience.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Janine envisioned using social media to tell her unique story, becoming the new face of Fat Daddy’s Pizzeria. She wanted to share her journey from working behind the scenes as an admin to running two pizzerias, all while being a full-time mom. Through her posts, she aimed to connect with her community and customers, showcasing the challenges and triumphs of balancing motherhood and business ownership. Janine believed that sharing her personal story would not only humanize the brand but also inspire others facing similar challenges.
Janine advises that the best thing to do is focus on authenticity: people want to know what really happens behind your business. They want to know the real you and what you bring. Nowadays we see many glamorized stories on social media. People are beginning to realize that they want someone they can relate with. Focus on being yourself!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Definitely social media. With the help of my marketing team, I was able to showcase our rebrand of Fat Daddy’s Pizzeria and show what we stand for.
