We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Harry Holmes a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Harry, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Welcome to the FRēQSHō!
FRēQSHō’s mission is to encourage people to push past their comfort zones to learn more of who they are and what they’re capable of. If one is interested in learning the different laws that govern the universe, one can use them as guides.
Ex. Law of Attraction, Law of Assumption, etc.
Using the technique of ‘visualization’, one can visualize a reality they seek. If one practices this discipline, they can ‘assume’ the state/frequency of already being there; not fake it till you make it, but feel it. Through new ideas and actions, you will gradually start becoming that person.
FRēQ is in regards to your own FRēQuency.
To be more specific, your heart beat. Everyone’s heart beats at their own tempo depending on how they feel.. The way we measure a heart beat is usually BPM (beats per minute) or more visually on a heart monitor. What you’re actually seeing is the frequency. You are constantly sending out a frequency into the abyss of the universe. This is one of the ways we communicate energetically.
SHō : Welcome to Earth/the Universe! A ‘show’ of frequencies, ‘you’/individuals, the FRēQSHō.
Which brings me to our motto : Challenge Accepted.
Adversities is what creates you; molds you. Shows you who you are; what you’re capable of. The more challenges you complete or even fail, the more your actual spirit/soul evolves.
Starting FS terrified me more than entertainment. I took that as a sign that I should do it. If I want to spread a message of accepting challenges, welcome to building a business.
FRēQSHō was built for the people. We hope everyone who visits us leaves better than we found them and having learned something new about themselves. A new perspective on life, new ideas, inviting new challenges.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For the last decade, since 2015, I have been building my career in entertainment whether that be acting, directing or producing.
When 2020 hit, everything kind of changed, as we all experienced. I remember being on set and the whole crew came out and said that Hollywood would basically be shutting down due to COVID. I honestly didn’t know what to do or what that even meant.
How long would this COVID last? I don’t have a job? I’m on unemployment? What do I do? I’ve never been unemployed.
I had always enjoyed philosophy. When I was a kid, and still today, I was intrigued with how… this ‘life’… worked. This system. This matrix.
This led me to studying the laws of the universe. There are laws that govern this universe and if you learn them and apply them, they can help you to succeed in whatever you want. Let’s just say, I had a lot of time on my hands so I went down the rabbit hole.
I came to my own conclusions of what I wanted to create. Something for the people. But what would that be? I grew up with my parents building businesses.
My mom has had a beauty salon for the last 20 years in Daegu, South Korea called Magic Nails. I basically grew up in it. When I got grounded, it was in her shop. When I asked for money, it was at her shop. To say I was inspired by my parents would be an understatement, but I didn’t have any capital.
The question was. What could I create where I didn’t have much capital to start with. First challenge.
Through my research, I found ecommerce or dropshipping. At that time I was also heavily involved in the modeling industry so I kind of already understood the business of creating and selling your creations.
Just for the beginner who doesn’t know what dropshipping or e-commerce is: DS is a third party manufacturer who creates the products on demand. E-commerce means your business is online. In this case, it’s COVID, we’re going online.
Why is this important? For DS, if don’t have much play money, you don’t have to buy your merch in bulk in order to sell. This makes creating a business more possible.
The downside is that the merchandise takes about a week and a half to get to you : designer and customer.
Once I learned the systems of DS and e-commerce, the next question was : what is the mission of the business?
Starting from when I was a teenager, for some reason, my peers would always come to me for advice. I didn’t know why, but I was happy to be an open ear and share my thoughts.
Before acting, I toyed with the idea of psychiatry. I realized quick that that was not a good fit.
I received my black belt in Tae Kwon Do when I was a teenager and in 2017 I received certificates from NASM for health, fitness and nutrition. During COVID, I received boxing coaching certification from Box ‘n Burn academy in Santa Monica.
FRēQSHō is your coach. It also to shows people : YOU CAN DO IT TOO! I am not the smartest cookie in the cookie jar. Shoot I failed out of college my first attempt. No one’s perfect. We all have flaws and traits we’re working on.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Resilience. Maybe a better question for me would be : where did my resilience come from.
The simple answer is my family.
My dad is a retired ARMY veteran who served for 24 years protecting the U.S. and is now in his second career in the government. He’s also a cancer survivor.
My mom built her beauty salon, Magic Nails, from the ground up. From vision to execution. She now has a successful business that has lasted more than two decades.
My older brother has served as a great role model. I’ve had to keep up with him. He did get a five year head start to be fair. He’s a bit O.C.D., but that taught me cleanliness. He’s never failed at anything that I know of and he’s taller than me. He is Thor. I am Loki. And I’m very okay with that. Don’t tell him I said any of this.
My family is mentally strong.
Doesn’t mean I haven’t had my slip ups. I was a skater boy in high school and a martial artist. I got beat up by my skateboard and by trained fighters and had to get up and learn to laugh it off everyday. Skateboarding was fun. Tae Kwon Do? At the time. Not so much.
I’ve seen personally what my family has had to go through to get to where they are. I consider myself lucky to have such a tough family.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson for me that I had to unlearn was that you don’t have to choose one thing; one occupation. I began my professional career in entertainment in 2015.
I had this idea that I could only be an actor. That is my sole career choice. It almost made me anxious to venture out. Almost as if I wasn’t allowed to do anything else. I like to thank social conditioning for this. I then realized, at least in my surroundings in LA, people in entertainment had different projects on the side that were not related to entertainment. Mostly building their own business.
It took me a couple years to become one with that observation that I have the option. If I can develop good enough time management discipline, I can have more than one interest and possibly monetize it. Others are doing it. I just have to learn.
At heart, I’m just an army brat trying to have as much fun with this short life as I can. To be ‘real’, just do stuff. We don’t live that long.
