We recently connected with Anthony J. Resta and have shared our conversation below.

Anthony J., thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

while working with Duran Duran in 1994 I discovered a mill building with 300,000 square-foot almost empty space after working in Recording studios all over the world. I decided it was time to build my own. It was a very slow process. I ended up being in this wonderful building in Chelmsford, Massachusetts for 20 years. . nearly 4000 ft.² of sonic museum

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’ve spent 30 years doing nothing but what I love to do creating lasting music with exceptional artists. I am so blessed and recently, I realized that my process is truly the “art of wrong.

my industry is like walking a tight rope between too much knowledge, and not enough knowledge, too much experimentation, and not enough experimentation, Too much fear and not enough fear,. not afraid to make mistakes or too afraid to make mistakes, I have always wanted to create something that was accessible yet had an element of strange embedded and 30 years later I work in a historical George Augsburger design studio in Laurel Canyon, and people come to me from all over the world in a recording industry that has all but disappeared”. it turns out that the story of me doing exactly what I love to do for three decades might be the most interesting part of my career, even though I’ve received many gold and multi platinum awards for my work. I have started a series of speaking engagements about pursuing what you love with nothing to fall back on regardless of what people around you were saying.
don’t sensible the Art out of your life ever! i’ve begun scoring indie films and working on soundtrack music for trailers, network, spots, advertisements, etc., I have five wonderful children and incredibly talented wife who is also a songwriter author and podcast. I think you should interview her as well.!

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

for 25 years I’ve worked side-by-side with Karyadi Sutedja, one of the best mixing engineers in the world. those who know , know. he is a creative superpower and does more work in a day than most people do in a week and I am very blessed to have him on my side for 25 years. Everything he touches elevated to a very high-level and I could not have been where I am without him.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

i’ve been on Instagram about 15 years and it’s turned into a really great place to meet people in network and connect with Artists. recently, I had a TikToker with over 1 million followers create an incredible pop song over one of my random crazy soundscapes. She took what was very strange and turned it into something super familiar. I love learning from young people and seeing what they’re capable of they have so much of an advantage with all the tools of today over where we started back in the day. !
