For others, losing a job or other economic hardships push them starting their businesses earlier than expected. In our conversations with thousands of entrepreneurs we’ve seen so much variety in when, how and why people started their business and so we wanted to share a wide variety of views and reflections on the question of whether these folks wished they had started sooner or waited longer before starting their businesses.

If I could go back in time I would’ve started my creative career sooner. My dad had a large collection of comic books that I used to sneak out of the clear plastic and draw from when I was a young kid. It was then I fell in love with sci-fi / fantasy movies and cartoons. As a young adult I was inspired by the 90s hip hop culture. I started drawing hip hop artist such as Tupac, Snoop Dogg, and Jay Z.
