Every once in a while we have the good fortune of working on a project that we feel truly matters, a project that we’ll still be thinking about years from now. Maybe even something we can imagine telling our grandkids about – surely you’ve had moments like that where something you did in your professional life really mattered?

My debut album ‘Thank you for your patience.’ is by far the most meaningful project I’ve worked on in my career to date. It took so much to make it happen and I’m so proud of everything I put into it. It started with me leaving the previous band I was in, walking away from a record deal, moving to Nashville to find my own sound, finding a whole new group of co-writers and collaborators, and spending 2 years writing all the stories of my early 20’s in a way that sounds like me. My most meaningful project to date is my most recent project called “Coming Out The Coffin”. This project was my first project I’ve ever fully created from the production, to the engineering, the songwriting, down to the recordings. It absolutely means the world to me not because of all the work that was put into it but it reflects a very dark and vulnerable time in my life and what I was going through during that time. The more projects I work on the easier it gets to take a step back and judge my work objectively. Being able to determine what I liked and didn’t like about the projects helps me to make more deliberate decisions on future projects, which makes the process feel more meaningful. Right now my most meaningful project is my screenplay Summer With Scarlett. Read more>>

The most meaningful project I worked on was the album, “Drank & Bottled Up Emotions.” During this album, I was in a place where life kept beating me up. I was in the process of starting my independent record label, Breakin’ Bank Records, LLC, and could not catch a break. I lost my dad that year and found out my grandmother had cancer. Read more>>

“Where the Rain Falls”, was a very personal project and writing and producing it with my friend Kelyn Crapp was a wonderful experience. I looked back at several years of challenges and it felt like constant rainfall. But at the other end of it, I had grown so much! I had developed boundaries, resilience and self-love. Many of my songs are about general observations, but this project was personal and healing. Where the train falls, that’s where life grows. Read more>>

I would have to say my new album! I call it “I Kept My Word” and that title significantly means something to me…one of my last conversations with my mom before she passed is pretty much based around that title, also my father who also passed in my arms actually yrs before my mom so from time to time i always think back to certain conversations we shared, and i distinctively recall my mom telling me to persue my dreams and appreciate the journey along the way, Read more>>

As a watercolor artist I create many different styles and types of artwork. The type that I am comissoned to do most frequently are custom house portraits or renderings. Last year I released a project titled ‘Dearly Beloved’ EP. The ep consisted of five songs I created at my parents house and in my friends living room, who let me crash and record at his apartment when I was unable to at home. I was going through a lot at the time; dealing with relationship issues, family problems, etc. and to make things worse we were in the middle of a pandemic. It felt like all I had at the time was music. Day in and day out I was writing and trying to become inspired. Read more>>

One of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on is my Captain Rex clone armor. It’s no secret that I’m a huge star wars fan, so being able to embody one of my favorite characters really makes my inner child proud. The accomplished feeling you get when you finish and admire your own work is a big motivator for me. Read more>>

I think the most meaningful project I’ve ever worked on, is the one I’m currently working on – Astra Fauna. Astra Fauna is a book that follows six alien scientists who are each exploring the far corners of a vast universe. It’s true that Astra Fauna is going to be a book, but it’s also going to be my brand. It took a while, and a lot of wrong turns to get here. I’ve tried lots of different subject matters and mediums in the past, and basically tried to make everyone else happy. Read more>>

When I first started my photography business I did a session for a woman who was really down on her luck. She had posted in a local mom group asking how to stretch $20 for the week with kids. I reached out to her to buy her groceries and learned she was pregnant, and living in a shelter with her 3 kids (twin babies and a toddler). That night I ordered her a bunch of groceries and also started a GoFundMe to help her and her family. Read more>>

All the projects I start working on are meaningful to me. I am a passionate person, and I give myself in from the first moment to work and investigate thoroughly in each one of them. My last significant project was, undoubtedly, the recent exhibit at the History and Discovery Center Museum, in Islamorada, Florida Keys. In this project, the personal exhibition of the famous Cuban plastic artist Carlos Guzmán entitled “Where the sea retires” was presented from January to April 2022, made up of 22 works in different formats and sizes. On Jan of 2015 I was diagnosed with throat Cancer. This was quite a shock as I did not drink or smoke. Preparing for what laid ahead was relatively difficult. My oldest son was trying to communicate by mimicking my experiences to some degree. Read more>>

A year ago, I decided to break out of solely playing music in Vatican Vamps and start an organization that helps musicians. During the pandemic with the music industry drastically slowing down and so many’s people’s livelihoods and creative outlets dissolving, I knew that I could be doing more. I had a realization that not only should I be creating music to hopefully have a positive impact on people around me, but I should help the music scene that I’m a part of thrive and do the same. The creation of The ‘LEGENDARY’ EP; a true testament to walking by faith not by sight and pushing on through the good and the bad! That’s how the blessing of this body of work came to be. Sometimes I paint with an idea behind my creations, and sometimes it’s a chance to express an emotion, play with color theory, or practice a technique. Art is a science experiment. I find the most meaningful projects are those that can create impact. I enjoy collaborating on projects that support conservation efforts, education, or health and wellness. And what motivates me most, is using murals as a vessel to educate, empower, and uplift communities. Read more>>

It’s an NFT project that I launched towards the end of last year and it includes a collection of images I had been working on for the last year or so. Recently I worked with High School students in the town of Saguache, CO to plan, design, and create a mural event in the main community park. I love working with youth (especially since High School was a time in my life that art really began to run my world) and this opportunity was such an amazing experience. Over several months, I was able to meet some truly amazing artistic students in the town who helped big time in the planning and execution of everything from what the mural theme would be, what kinda of food would be at the event, and even what other activities we would have. I definitely want to do more projects like this! Read more>>

Odyssey Studios has been a lifesaver for me. It began with a seed of an idea, a thorn in my side that I couldn’t shake. In my past I had been a curator of a traditional visual art gallery, a “white cube” as we sometimes call it. There I discovered my love of sharing other people’s work with the city of Dallas. In this specific place I was fortunate to have opportunities to present non-commercial art; to give artists the chance to experiment. I also learned the value of a symbiotic art-to-space relationship. Read more>>

My most meaningful project would probably be the 2013 Budweiser Clydesdale Super Bowl commercials. I was 33 and living in LA at the time and to me it just seemed like another audition. In those days I had a motorcycle to get around. As everyone knows the traffic is very thick in LA and since you can split lanes on a bike I found it to be the best way to get to all my auditions on time, especially if I had multiple in a day, sometimes I would have up to 5/6 different auditions in different parts of town. The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is my upcoming EP, Cocoon. Cocoon is the final installment to the story that I created within my projects, beginning with Butterfly Effect. I’ve always loved the art of story telling so I knew that whenever I started pursuing music professionally, I wanted to highlight conceptual projects , with proper story lines. Read more>>
