We were lucky to catch up with Danielle White recently and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How do you feel about asking friends and family to support your business? What’s appropriate, what’s not? Where do you draw the line?
Support can come in so many forms! Everyone is struggling right now, so any support you can give to your friends who have small businesses is so needed and appreciated. A recommendation, a like or share on their social media post, and getting the word out, can make a world of a difference.
Of course we love when family can come in and use our services, but as a small business owner, sharing about our business is so wonderful.

Danielle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been the owner at Arizona Teeth Whitening for almost 6 years. It has been a challenge, especially through COVID, but we made it!
I love helping people feel their best. And having a whiter smile can boost your confidence in so many ways. It make you look and feel years younger! And we do it using an all natural product!
Our whitening gel is made right here in the USA! It is all natural, plant and mineral based. It causes minimal sensitivity, while delivering great results.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Word of mouth! The best marketing is a happy client! We utilize a referral program. If you recommend someone to us and they come in, they will receive $25 off their whitening and you will also receive $25 off your text whitening! The referrals can be stacked, so you could very well have a free whitening!!
I also use Facebook and instagram to reach more people as well. And to connect with our local community.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I bought Arizona Teeth Whitening at the end of 2018. It was such a learning curve. I had never owned a business before, so it was a lot of learning as I went. But I was very passionate about what I was doing, so I pushed through to build a good clientele and connected with the community.
But 2020 hit and COVID had us shut down for quite a few months. Luckily, I had some money saved to cover 3 months of expenses for the business, but after that I was going to lose my business. We had some raffles and people bought gift cards to use after we reopened. And thanks to the community, we were able to reopen once things settled down!
It was very slow going after COVID but we finally made a comeback and we have been doing great ever since!
