We were lucky to catch up with Arianna Maisonet recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Arianna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
Growing up I was never the type of kid who watched a lot of regular television or even movies. For some reason I always gravitated toward YouTube. Whatever was on YouTube that I was allowed to watch, I watched and continued to watch. As I grew older I began watching influencers of all kinds just lifestyle female influencers recording their day to day living experiences. Around the age of 15 I realized that I can put myself in the same position as the influencers I watched daily. It took me awhile to realize that because I’ve always been an outsider I’ve always stood opposite side of the crowd, I’ve been bullied a wholesome amount of my life so it took me awhile to realize I have just the opportunity and I can have just the same if not bigger positive influence just like everyone I watch. It first started with myself realizing that I am who I am. I was born how I was born and no one on this planet is like me. Highlighting that god gave me a specific life that he knew was meant for me. Building my confidence was the hardest part of any and everything I do now. Being okay with always being on camera and always having to post pictures has never been this easy for me and that’s all because of confidence. Becoming a content creator becoming an influencer it’s a mind shift that you prepare for before any actual work or video is recorded. But I knew this was a worthwhile endeavor because the more I continue to go after each goal big or small daily and accomplishing something in this field it doesn’t seem like work, it seems like a life that I was meant for and a life that I’m deserving of. Initially I never thought that I could succeed how I am now. I wasn’t putting as much faith and confidence in my younger self when I had the idea of taking this creative path. But as a growing hustler I came to the realization that I’m bound to succeed in this field because I feel it is meant for me. I feel this is what I’m destined to do and god has planted the seed and started my road and it’s up to me to put two feet on the ground and start walking and working on it.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As many content creator and as many YouTubers and influencers there are in this industry. I can proudly say there is nobody like me. The aspects that set me apart from others include consistency. For me being a current HBCU college student, for me working in a corporate executive management position, for me being a content creator and influencer, there’s no one balancing all lifestyle as well as I am. But the best thing about it has to
Be nothing feels like work. Being an ambassador meeting deadlines, having upcoming test and having to study, tending to corporate meetings nothing feels like work. A lot would imagine it’s a lot that goes on but I work by god. Being consistent making sure all levels are life are balanced having a detailed schedule for each makes it possible. I can confidently say that I am most proud of my work ethic, my ability to never get comfortable and always progressing. Always being a leader. Always being consistent even when the harder days appear. I am most proud of realizing what I was destined for years ago and still going after that same dream no matter who is with me and who isn’t. I want my following I want my supporters to know and understand that yes I am doing this for myself but I’m at the point where I’ve gained so much love and continuous support that there is no me without y’all. I have opened the doors to my life onto my platforms and you all have been in tuned to what my life consists of. Y’all have helped me get out of struggling times y’all have helped me when my creative meter was low. Y’all have helped me accomplish goals. My support system keeps me actively growing and going because I do this for myself and I now see that I have to do it for y’all and if that means go 15X harder then I’m going 20
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The specific goal and or mission that drives my creative journey would have to be creating a soft future. In others words my future drives my creative journey. When you have a future ahead of you and you have planned each and every little thing out it becomes a soft dream. And everyday that I go after my daily goals and my daily accomplishments I remind myself that I’m in this for the long run I’m taking the little steps now to get to the soft future Ive created and to get what I’m deserving of, to gain what I’ve always wanted and that’s to be able to have financial freedom. To be able to retire my parents. To be able to start giving back to those who’ve helped me on my way. What I want out of my future is the driving factor for me.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
The resources that I wish I knew about earlier in my creative journey 1000% has be myself. I wish I would’ve known earlier that you can do everything yourself you don’t have to pay people to do something for you because you don’t know how. You don’t have to copy others because you see that it’s doing numbers for them. You don’t have to resource off of anybody else but you. Take the time to teach yourself. Take the time to research. Take the time to analyze who you are and what personalization can you bring to your platforms. REALZING that you are the blueprint earlier on will help you retain your drive for the field. I wish I would’ve early on that I was the main important resource. And what I can’t do I can learn and what I don’t know I can teach myself, and what I’m scared of I can conquer.
