We were lucky to catch up with Ali Wilks recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ali, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
I am a mother empowerment mentor and mothering wound healer. This means that I teach women how to take their power back instead of giving it away and coming from a place of not enough-ness, then they come from a place of more than enough. The not enough-ness comes from a lack of valuing the self, lack of boundaries and people pleasing (there are more pieces to this puzzle than this ) This feeling of lack started from their own mothering experiences, long before many can remember. Further, that their own mother had that wound passed down from her own mother ( and generations before her) . I share information about epigentics and the research that supports intergenerational trauma starts in the womb.
With that as a teaching moment/lesson, I have this milestone conversation with many women in my Worthiness Rebellion program that when you realize that your mom was a wounded child and parented you from that wound, then everything can change. The willingness to forgive can open up, and you experience a freedom that you never thought possible. once we see our mother as a Divine being having a human experience and that we came here to learn that lesson (forgiveness is but one possible lesson) she gave us, everything changes.
One of my clients in particular, who was struggling with guilt, shame and lots of self doubt, was able to realize that she was a good mother, that she was capable and that she was powerful and that her mother (who had some mental health challenges and serious self esteem issues) was in her pain and unable to meet her needs when she tried to make my client comply or verbally degraded her.. this is the short version.
This is a testimonial from her “Thank you for teaching me and showing me that I am a good mom, and for me to believe in myself. I’m still a baby I feel and learning so many things.
But you taught me that I am worth it ! I am perfect just the way I am. Thankyou for that. I wouldn’t have been able to get to this place without you.”
I have loved witnessing the powerful mindshifts of the women I work with. Once they heal this relationship, the heal it for their own children and their sisters too. They also then apply it to relationships with other women > ie female bosses, friends and co- workers
And, I use Goddess Power Deck to help them channel even greater power as well as other oracle decks to weave into my work.

Ali, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Ali Wilks and my business is the Cosmic Rose Mother. I am a mother empowerment facilitator and mentor. I work with moms to heal their mother line. their mothering wounds. As a daughter and as a mother I experienced mothering wounds that profoundly impacted my life and it has made me an outspoken advocate for all kinds of mothers: single, partnered, bio, step, adoptive, foster… I have worked with ALL moms. I am a bio mother to 2 teenagers, a stepmom to 3 kidults and a glamma to a boy and girl <3 My own mothering wounds led me to an amazing path of growth and deep connection to my soul and to Spirit, that I am holy embracing. And this is the work I am here to do with other moms. I offer transformational education and coaching programs to all women using Divine Feminine modalities (compassion, intuition, nurturing) connections with Goddess, belief reprogramming modalities, mindset mastery and breathwork practices to hold women on their healing journey. As they are reminded of their own sacred power and divinity, they find peace and empowerment within themselves and all of their relationships, especially the mothering relationships. I infuse elemental creations and rose medicine into my work, as they keep me connected to the Divine. I received training from Rebecca Campbell in her Inner Temple Mystery training program and is certified in those modalities. I use practical modalities as well, I have a Masters Degree in Family Studies, I am trauma informed and I completed my PSYCH-K Masters level training to reprogram your subconscious. The subconscious is the root of the limiting beliefs your behaviour stems from. Releasing limiting beliefs allows your radiant self to soar. I have also been trained in EFT and am currently working on my pranayama breathwork facilitation. I am a life long learner who loves to share my wisdom

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
As a stepmom I learned that my worthiness came from me. I had a particularly difficult time with my stepdaughter and we had a very difficult relationship that almost destroyed my marriage and pulled our family apart. Looking back those wounds came from my own mothering wounds from childhood (and I later learned from my own mother’s childhood and very likely from her grandmother to her mother)
My mother was unable to gift me the role model of worthiness, self esteem, self care and healing her wounds, so I had to learn to do this for myself and for my daughters.
Now I take what I learned to guide other women to heal this within themselves so they can heal relationships with their mothers and children and they become the role model for their own mothers and daughters on how to heal their emotional wounding.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
Doing my own inner work has been the most potent self empowering work I have ever done.. and realizing that I created these lessons for me. And that I learned this all on my own is like chef’s kiss empowerment ;)
In this inner work, I have learned how to be accountable for all my choices and actions. As a mentor to embody and live from this empowered place & to be a role model that holds that ability to be vulnerable and share is where true self mastery exists.
