We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Erika Jimenez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Erika below.
Erika, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
One of the kindest things someone has done for me happened during a particularly challenging period in my life. I was going through a tough time personally, dealing with a lot of stress and uncertainty. A close friend unexpectedly took the time to write me a heartfelt letter.
In the letter, they expressed genuine empathy for what I was going through, offering words of encouragement and support. They shared memories of our friendship and reminded me of my strengths and resilience. What struck me most was the sincerity and thoughtfulness that went into each word. It wasn’t just a generic message of support but a deeply personal reflection of our bond and their care for me.
Receiving that letter meant more than I can put into words. It came at a moment when I felt overwhelmed and alone, providing me with emotional comfort and reassurance. It reminded me that I was not facing my challenges in isolation but had someone who truly cared about my well-being.
The impact of that gesture extended far beyond the moment of reading it. It lifted my spirits, gave me renewed strength to face my difficulties, and strengthened our friendship even more. It taught me the power of empathy and how a simple act of kindness, like a heartfelt letter, can make a profound difference in someone’s life.
To this day, I cherish that letter as a reminder of the kindness and compassion that exists in the world, and I strive to pay it forward whenever I can.

Erika, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Erika Jimenez, and I have always had a passion for real estate. My interest in this field began when I interned at Fannie Mae in high school. They had me working in the REO department. Then I was hired after high school. I was fascinated by the dynamics of the market, the potential for investment, and the opportunity to help people find their dream homes or achieve their investment goals.
After working in the college sector for many years. I began seeing my friends do real estate. That peaked my interest again. I started classes at a real estate school at night and then put it to the side. Slowly after, I restarted classes and thought this is it, this is the opportunity I have been waiting for. I needed to step into Real Estate and follow my passion. Which has always been helping people. Shortly after my friends let me know that they wanted to sell their family home. I loved everything about helping them navigate through the process.
Since then, I have been fortunate to become a mentor, a leader in our office, tech ambassador and be able to teach in my market center. What I love most about real estate is the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives by finding them a place they can call home. Everyone has a story and I get to be part of every person that I help.
I am excited to continue growing and learning in this dynamic industry. I do look forward to becoming a broker, while expanding my portfolio and helping more families achieve their real estate goals or aspirations.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has been social media, google reviews, and client referrals. The best connection is referral and word of mouth. I can truly say that this has been what has allowed my business to thrive and succeed in real estate.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In Real Estate you have to always be ready. The industry changes quite often and we must pivot. Recently my pivot has involved moving from residential to commercial real estate, and from traditional sales to luxury properties. Both involve deeper understanding of the industry.
I am always challenging myself to learning and scaling my business to higher levels.
