We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michele Mabie . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Michele below.
Michele , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think you should define success for yourself and not what others deem it to be. Success is different for different people. Success for one may be more family time, more time for relaxing or a simpler lifestyle For some success is building a business or acquiring material things. So I think you have to define it for what fits your desires. But whatever that may be, success is still intentional. Success is doing the small things daily until you achieve your goal. And lastly success comes with failure, but it depends what we do with failure that determines our success.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
It wasn’t until later in my life that I decided to but all my energy into a photography business. I had always loved photography but only as a hobby. M youngest child went to collage and I decided that I was going all in and trying my hand at it from a business perspective. I wanted to know if I really had the capability of doing good work in this field. And I am so glad I did. I feel from being a bit older, I bring balance to my work and for my clients. Women are great collaborators which is important when having a business.
Its not always easy being in front of a camera. I think I have an ability to make people feel comfortable when they are in front of the camera. I also have lots of patience, especially with the children, which makes my work so fulfilling and rewarding for me.
The way I approach photography is I believe every thing has beauty and its my desire to bring that beauty forward, and to show my clients their beauty and to perhaps bring a different perspective to light.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When I began social media, it was easy to grow organically, but as time changes and platforms change you need to continue to change with it. Its important to know the current trends. I would say social media can be a very important part of a business, so use it. Interact with your audience, Post relevant content, and keep promoting.
Maintain the correct tools to help with all of it.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Brand loyalty is perception based which is a belief that a certain brand represents hight quality and better service. And I believe that I do provide both of these for my clients. I engage with my clients, understanding my target demographic and appealing to who they are. You also know exactly what you will get with me, consistent and true to my clients.
