We recently connected with Hannah Isett and have shared our conversation below.
Hannah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope that my legacy will live in the photos that I create for my clients. Someone can look back on a photo that was taken years before and immediately be taken back to how they felt in that moment, and that is one of the amazing parts of what I get to provide for people. I want my legacy to represent that way that my clients have tangible memories of the most pivotal and special moments of their lives. I also want my clients to remember me as a calming force, an encouragement, and a light as I work to capture their most special memories.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am a business owner and photographer in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas that specializes in wedding photography and portrait sessions. I discovered my passion for storytelling through photographs when I studied abroad in college in Scotland. From there, I built my own brand from the ground up, starting with photographing college seniors and eventually getting into wedding photography. I provide high quality photography services to my clients that captures their love and the memories that they will hold closest to their heart for the rest of their lives. When searching for a wedding photographer, there are endless options (especially in DFW!). What sets me apart from others is that I will always go the extra mile in every scenario to make sure that you are getting the moments captured in images that YOU want, but also that you feel calm and at peace when shooting with me. I want us to truly be friends after our shoot, to continue that relationship and be your go-to whenever you find yourself needing a photographer th

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I knew earlier in my creative journey the true benefit of networking with others in your field. There is so much that we can all learn from each other, and so much of what I have learned to do and excel at has been inspired and encouraged by others. I encourage all photographers, whether they are new to the trade or not, to connect with others in their industry and be open to working together and learning together.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me has been word-of-mouth. Making a good impression on a client and delivering a job-well-done is what I have found to be the best and most authentic way to grow my clientele. Friends trust friends and family trusts family to recommend a trusted photographer, so doing a good job with everyone that hires me helps me aim for future success as well.
