We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tatum Immenschuh . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tatum below.
Tatum, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
Throughout my time of esthetics school, I had learned and taken on so much all I wanted to do was take clients. After every client I had taken in my treatment rooms, just seeing how extremely happy they were after their service(s) it genuinely made me happy. I believe everyone has the right to have 1: Bangin confidence 2: Bangin skin 3: Bangin Beauty
At the end of every treatment I would follow up with my clients on how they felt about the service, is there anything different they would prefer or anything different that they would like to add on for their next treatment. I would gain amazing feedback from my clients and all of them would mention how they appreciated the follow up and some would also mention how they’d never receive follow ups after the treatment they received.
Right then I immediately knew I was doing something different and needed to keep following up with my clients. After about a years worth of school, I finally came up with my business name Bangin Beauty. To me it felt different and my goal was to be different. I wanted to stand out and be unique in my own way. When my clients would come into their appointments I would ask them what catches their attention to newer business or when they were searching for a business that offered the services they wanted done, and the number one answer would be names as well as images of the logos. After gaining that information from my clients it just made me so unbelievably excited knowing I was taking a step in the right direction for my business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve always loved skincare and the overall idea of beauty from a young age. Ever since I could remember I was always practicing makeup and hair on my mom. In 2016 my mom had a brain aneurysm, I saw her struggle with her self image and it hurt me seeing that. My goal as a daughter was to let her know she has always been beautiful to me. To help her gain her confidence back and feel beautiful within her own skin, I would do her makeup and hair for her. I saw her confidence come back and just seeing her smile and be happy really made me feel so happy knowing I was doing something good. My mom was the one who introduced me into the esthetics field when she worked at a Medspa. I was able to receive a few treatments from there and during that time I just had so many questions on what I needed to do to establish a career within the industry. I was extremely fascinated by everything the other estheticians had taught me.
In March of 2022 I started to attend Taylor Andrew’s Academy for their Master Esthetician program and September of 2023 I had graduated.During my time there I was extremely thankful for the support I had received from my fellow students, instructors and clients. They have really helped my business and my continuous growth. For my clients I offer waxing, lashes, brows, spray tans, teeth whitening and tooth gems, makeup, and basic facial services. The most important thing to me for my business are my clients. I truly couldn’t do what I do without them. Clients turn to friendships and I am always so excited when my clients tell me big events that have occurred to them. They always know they are welcome in my space, I will ask them if they want a silent treatment or non silent treatment. I want them to know my space can be a safe space for them.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
The heart of every business is social media. I would watch and pay attention to what other businesses similar to mine were posting and how they would engage with their audience. So I would do something similar but in my own way and make it unique. I love doing questionnaires with my followers and answering their questions. I do a lot of behind the scenes as well, it allows my followers to see what my services look like and seeing how it operates. My advice for those building their social media is take all of the photos and be sure to post constantly. Tag the products that you use in your services and use hashtags that are relevant to what you offer. Engage with your audience, show them behind the scenes and share with them what your outside daily life is like. Clients love to know who they are booking with and want to know about who they are booking with.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Constantly posting on social media has been the most effective and commenting on other businesses. Any type of market or event I will sign up for and offer a small, quick service to those who are interested. I will also partner in giveaways with other businesses as well. I love partnering up with other businesses and offering services, not only are you promoting them for their services but they are also promoting you for your services so truly overall it is a winning situation. Educating my clients as well about products and services I offer in either small slide posts or a video.
