We were lucky to catch up with Mary Ransom recently and have shared our conversation below.

Mary, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I was working for a Mental Health agency completing their billing. The owner of that company set up a meeting with me and another young lady that already had her billing company. The young lady closed her billing company, and my phone just started ringing from over Licensed staff that needed a Medical Biller. I knew I could not be in eight places at the same time, I started the process to come up with a business name, I completed all my paperwork with the IRS and the State of Georgia. I put together a PowerPoint and I contacted everyone back, sent out contracts and that is how I started my business.

Prior to starting her own company Mary was privy to be employed in the corporate sector in corrections for 4 years Maximum Security prisons, and Health Care for 20 years, with a broad spectrum of roles. Ranging from Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Pediatricians, and Mental health as Office Manager, Medical Biller, and completing groups and therapy in mental health.
As an Alumni of the University of Phoenix Mary holds a degree in social work, she also has a degree in Criminal Justice from Gulf Coast Community College. Mary passion is to provide exceptional services reign from her desire to serve others in her community. As CEO/Owner of Ransom billing and Credentialing company. Mary is vigilant to ensure that any vendor whom she serves will walk away satisfied with the knowledge that they too can make their dreams of entrepreneurship a reality.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The most effective strategy for growing my clientele. Well, I must be honest and let this platform know that my business expanded due to word of mouth. Before long I had begun Credentialing Licensed staff all over the world. My Ethics in this industry and my knowledge of Credentialing and Billing led me to the success that I have accomplished, along with a lot of praying and hard work.

Majority of my clients after I completed the Credentialing signed Billing contracts, so majority of my clients are Ongoing because of the services I offer. I am the beginning of their business and the end. One stop shop for all of their needs.
