Hi Steven, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
The idea of starting a real estate business began during the pandemic when I was furloughed from work for 8 months. I’ve always enjoyed photography as a hobby and enjoyed going to open houses. One day, I decided to Google “real estate photography” and found out it was something people did professionally.
I looked more into it and decided to give it a shot. I educated myself on photographing and editing homes with books and many Youtube videos. I practiced the skills on my parent’s house first and then did a few friend’s places and for a few realtors for free to build up my portfolio. Once this was set, I created an Instagram account and started charging money.
I got most excited about this idea because of the skills I learned to take outstanding photos for realtors

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I follow what I learned from two of the most known photographers in real estate, which I think is the best. I also incorporate a little bit of logic and common sense to the way I shoot the photos.
I never limit the number of photos for any client or any home. I take as many angles as possible that I think look good. This way, everyone can have plenty to pick and choose from. I take pride in providing the best customer service possible because that’s what stands out for me when I shop for businesses

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I went and added real estate professionals, including realtors, loan officers, title, escrow officers, and brokerages on Instagram in my area. Instagram has the feature where you can follow someone’s followers. Linkedin is another platform you can easily add numerous people

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Networking events. There are tons of real estate events every single week. There are always new people to meet. Seeing people you’ve already met is vital as well because it puts you at the top of their minds
