Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jerica Love. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jerica, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission to provide and embody a love-based lifestyle is deeply personal and meaningful to me. It stems from my childhood experiences and the impact of my parents’ divorce. Growing up, I had a fairytale expectation of family life, and the reality of my family breaking apart was a profound wound. My older siblings didn’t go through the same challenges, and I was left longing for a sense of togetherness that seemed out of reach.
This longing and the journey to understand and heal from it have shaped my mission. Actively healing that wound means learning to love from a whole space, recognizing that my family’s decision to prioritize genuine joy over pretending to love each other for the sake of the kids and society was an act of true strength and love. It taught me that sometimes loving each other better means allowing space and that genuine love never truly fades but can evolve in healthier ways.
The mission of the Breathe & Rise Collective, which aims to spread and share holistic health and wellness services that are inclusive and accessible, is a natural extension of my personal mission. It’s about doing the inner work necessary to embody love in all its multifaceted forms and to create a community where everyone, regardless of their background or experiences, can find commonality and healing.
This mission is about valuing ourselves and those around us, starting from the inside out. It’s about sharing the knowledge and insights I’ve gained from my life experiences, from childhood through adulthood, and helping others see the benefits of a love-based lifestyle. At the core, it’s about recognizing that we all woke up today and share the breath of God, and that should be enough to inspire us to love and heal alongside one another.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve always been passionate about understanding the human body and its limitations, a passion that was ignited through my relationship with track and field. Track and field taught me the essence of self-discipline and the importance of internal competition – it’s just you and time, and that’s why I love it so much.
I pursued my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Psychology, and a graduate degree in Sports Management at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. This educational background provided me with a solid foundation in health and wellness, opening doors to internships, counseling, and business management.
I started my career as a personal trainer, working with track and soccer athletes for several years. However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought a significant shift in my life, prompting me to embark on a journey of internal healing and forgiveness. This transformative period led to the creation of Roll it Lumpia, which evolved into Mahal Hut Eats n Tings, a completely plant-based cooking venture focusing on minimal processed foods.
Eventually, I became a co-owner of Third Eye Healing, and after its closure, I co-founded the Breathe & Rise Collective. My personal passions also include herbalism, sound healing, meditation, and music. I perform as Gemini Flame and host community healing sessions with alchemy bowls every Tuesday night.

I believe that true growth starts from within, and I help my clients master themselves by not taking things personally, improving their communication, and building strong foundations in their businesses. My focus is on creating a love-based lifestyle, where growth is driven by genuine love and happiness rather than fear or wounds.
I am incredibly proud of seeing my clients, followers, and fans embody the teachings and achieving great success in their lives. Watching clients develop additional streams of income and achieve both micro and big, hairy, audacious goals (BHAGs) brings me immense joy. I am dedicated to helping others elevate their essence, build confidence, and positively impact the lives of those around them.
Allow me to give you my keys:
Embrace a lifestyle driven by genuine love and happiness.
Focus on personal and professional growth from the inside out.

Any advice for managing a team?
Managing a team and maintaining high morale are essential for any successful organization. Based on my experiences and studies, I offer the following advice:
Effective communication is the foundation of good management. Always be clear about what is being communicated, why it’s being communicated, the intention behind it, and the desired goal. Clear communication helps in setting expectations and reducing misunderstandings. Encourage open dialogue where team members feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feedback. Actively listen to their concerns and suggestions.
Integrity and accountability are paramount. Show your team what can be achieved by embodying them yourself. This includes being accountable, keeping your word, and showing up consistently. Understand where your team members are coming from, meet them where they are, help them see who they are and where they can be. Empathy combined with clear expectations fosters trust and respect.
Empower your team members by giving them the autonomy to do their jobs effectively. Empowerment leads to increased ownership and motivation. Provide the necessary resources and support for your team to succeed, including training, tools, and a conducive work environment.
Foster a collaborative environment where team members support each other rather than compete against each other. Collaboration enhances creativity and problem-solving. Align team members towards common goals, ensuring everyone understands how their contributions fit into the bigger picture.
Regularly recognize and celebrate both individual and team achievements. Acknowledgment boosts morale and encourages continued effort and dedication. Celebrate not just the outcomes but also the values and behaviors that lead to success, reinforcing positive actions and attitudes.
Encourage your team to constantly look for opportunities to improve and innovate. Support experimentation and learning from both successes and failures. Create a safe environment where taking calculated risks is encouraged, driving growth and adaptation.
Be honest about what can be done and what cannot. Set realistic expectations and hold everyone, including yourself, accountable. Maintain a culture of honesty where team members can openly discuss their capabilities and limitations.
Managing a team effectively starts with managing yourself. Set personal boundaries, develop strong communication skills, and model the behavior you expect from your team. Continuously reflect on your leadership style and its impact on your team, making adjustments as necessary to improve your approach.
From Coach Riedel’s leadership, managing a large team of over 65 members taught me the importance of understanding individual strengths and fostering a cohesive team spirit. My father’s approach to managing large responsibilities with integrity and discipline has been a guiding example for me. John Maxwell’s books have been instrumental in shaping my understanding of leadership and team management. “The Leadership Challenge” has served as a field guide for me, offering practical advice on leadership that I apply in my daily management practices.
Adopting this approach requires commitment and may call out individuals who struggle with self-management. However, fostering a culture of empathy, empowerment, and continuous improvement will lead to a high-morale, high-performance team.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy I’ve found for growing my clientele revolves around finding my niche and embodying it authentically. Back in college in 2016, I learned about ikigai, which helped me understand what I’m passionate about, what I excel at, what the world needs, and what I can be paid for. I revisit this concept annually to ensure I’m aligned with my true purpose.
Once I identified my niche, the next step was to fully embody it. Clients are drawn to authenticity, so pretending to be someone I’m not would only hinder client attraction. By doing the inner work to know and understand myself, and confidently putting myself out there, I’ve found that clients are naturally drawn to me.
Networking events and community involvement have also played a crucial role. Building relationships and letting people know about the value I offer has been instrumental. Additionally, understanding my worth and setting fair rates based on my experience and expertise has helped in attracting the right clients who value what I provide.
Overall, the combination of knowing my niche, embodying it authentically, and actively engaging in networking and community events has been the most effective strategy for growing my clientele.
