Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Beda Spindola. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Beda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you have an agent or someone (or a team) that helps you secure opportunities and compensation for your creative work? How did you meet you, why did you decide to work with them, why do you think they decided to work with you?
I do! I’m currently signed with Natalie Kollar for LA Talent in their theatre department. It’s actually such a wild story on how she found me. I was in NYC during the Covid lockdown and just feeling SO low about not being able to perform. It wasn’t until a friend of mine sent me a submission ad for a Zoom Agency Showcase (can you believe? on ZOOM. What a TIME it was haha.) The showcase was being run by 3D Theatricals and I was able to be seen by countless agencies.
After interviewing with a few I landed on LA Talent because I loved how Natalie was able to work WITH me, and quite honestly? Because she said she wouldn’t “nickle-and-dime” me for things I book myself which was an absolute DEALBREAKER for me.
Oh gosh… why did they decide to work with me? I hope it was because I showed them I could tell a story through my performance haha. I had been booking a lot of work by myself but I *knew* there were rooms I wasn’t able to get in by myself– I’d like to think they saw my potential haha

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
If you are just learning about me: hello! I’m a California native currently bi-coastal sharing time between there and New York just trying to make singing my primary way of paying my bills haha.
I got into singing relatively early on in life. My parents were actively involved with a church in Baldwin Park and my favorite part was getting to sing every Sunday.
It wasn’t until my mom pseudo forced my stage frightened self to sign up for theatre at Citrus College, the local community college in Glendora, that I had realized what I was meant to do.
Through the music department there I met so many of the biggest Los Angeles musicians today.
I now get to sing with the #1 Wedding band in Los Angeles – Downbeat (downbeat.agency/collectivenyc) @downbeat.agency

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my following on social media was a slow process until it wasn’t– if that makes sense haha. I like to think growing your audience has a lot to do with being authentic and staying consistent. Keep posting, stay present, and have fun while doing it. If you aren’t enjoying it, you could burn out.
It ALSO doesn’t hurt that I keep doing singing TV shows haha
Somehow a small clip I posted from the Premiere episode of I Can See Your Voice (Season 3) I was on ended up in Brazil and got 7 million views and landed me 40K followers haha.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I think the biggest thing I needed to unlearn was my approach to auditioning. I would go into these rooms and spaces with a very palpable air of desperation. I wasn’t having ANY fun in these spaces and it was killing my drive and spirit. The moment I started truly reading and understanding the words I was singing that I was able to unlock a different perspective when it cam to auditions. It was beyond “pick me! I need this job!” (although it can *also* be that haha),
