We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Barby Moscoso a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Barby thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I am a professional dancer and in 2017 I was on a world tour with Colombian recording artist Maluma. I was constantly on the move, traveling to dozens of countries and always changing outfits. Not only my fellow dancers, but also random people in the airports, would ask me where I got my clothes. Barbs was born out of this with the idea to help other versatile women find pieces for every occasion and be the best version of themselves.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In an average day I wear many “hats”. I regularly train as a dancer, needing comfy but trendy clothes. I attend different social and professional events (normally casual look or chic) and I love to cook at home (comfy outfit). My brand Barbs has outfits for every occasion that a woman might need to have in her closet. I love to see people wearing Barbs, feeling ready for any activity.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I feel that people who follow me want to see the true version of myself. So sharing tips, showing a normal day in my life, just being real helps connect people with me and my business.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
My team and I send weekly emails with discounts, events, and free classes that #barbsbybbabes (our clients) can enjoy.
