We were lucky to catch up with Alexia Ferrari recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alexia, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
On a hot August afternoon, after commuting the daily 3+ hours home from work, I rested my swollen pregnant feet, feeling exhausted and uncertain. I thought to myself, how am I ever going to continue this work schedule after my baby is born?
Being an ambitious business woman, climbing the corporate ladder and securing a budding career in leadership development and corporate communications within the defense industry, I didn’t know how to honor being a present mother and career woman simultaneously. In my heart, I was not the mother who left before her baby woke in the morning only to return for dinner and bedtime. To me, this was not motherhood.
I prayed every day for an answer. Little did I know, the pandemic would hit soon after I delivered. I never actually went back to work again “in person”. Instead of returning to the traditional workplace after having my first baby, I chose to deepen my expertise in human capital and expand my reach through the virtual arena. I took my leadership programs online, reaching more professionals than ever before. I transformed my shed into a virtual office and just like that, my backyard became the hub through which my expertise could reach the masses.
This experience reinforced my belief that we have the power to change our career circumstance at any point. We can pivot into a new role, learn a new skill, or even start a business of our own. My passion for helping mothers redefine career success from home pushed me to launch my own small business as a business and marketing coach.
Today, I lead brand management for a top rated engineering firm while also helping mothers like me successfully launch professional brands into the marketplace. I specialize in helping mothers monetize their expertise and passions all from the comfort of their home. Today’s career woman no longer needs to sacrifice her role as a mother to build a career; her impact can be felt both at home and across the world. I believe the most important work we can do happens within the four walls of our home. When I look back, I want my children to truly know me and remember the beautiful memories we created together during a magical time in their life.
My mission is to help mothers build a modern career by launching compelling brands into the marketplace that generate scalable income for their families. I am a mother, a homemaker, and a business pioneer, committed to transforming how women build thriving careers from home.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve spent the past decade plus as a Human Capital, Corporate Communications, and Branding Leader within the defense industry. My expertise has focused on helping corporate leaders develop their professional brands in the workplace as well as oversee brand management for my parent firm.
After personally experiencing what building a corporate career from home could do for a mother with small children, I began focusing on helping mothers launch online businesses using their unique skills. I’ve added a crucial component to my programs this year, helping my clients incorporate digital systems, automation, and AI to help them build a business on auto-pilot, allowing them to scale quickly and be present in their home.
The business tagline, “CEO Homemaker” has become a new mantra for my online coaching business, empowering mothers to step into the their undeniable role as The Matriarch of their home and business.
My personal coaching strategy is holistic nature. I help my clients build a strong mind built for business resiliency, taking them on a personal growth journey capable of withstanding the seasons of true entrepreneurship. My branding programs are built on five foundational pillars:
#1 Identifying Your X Factor (The “thing” you’re known for and what makes you stand-out from the others)
#2 Energetic Currency (The magnetism you curate with your brand- i.e. Attraction Based Marketing)
#3 Influence (Building trust with your audience and developing long-term brand-loyalty)
#4 Adaptability (Teaching my 3 steps ahead method to prepare for industry shifts at any-point)
#5 Purpose (Rooting your business in your Mission, Vision, and Values. When the going gets tough, businesses that are anchored in their purpose will endure)
This year, I am taking on VIP students where I work with clients in a 1:1 capacity developing their businesses from concept to marketplace launch. We work through my signature branding strategies + incorporate digital back-end automated components to successfully monetize and scale with efficiency.
I have also developed the Build Your Brand Boot Camp series, where I work with a group of passionate mothers who want to launch a career from home. Together, we build their brands in a cohort style training where we conceptualize their brand identify and launch their digital product online in just four weeks. I am currently running The Build Your Brand Boot Camp every 90 Days.
I have also created guides and workbooks for mothers to get started with their online businesses right away. My digital products are all available via my instagram @msalexiaferrari.
I believe my personal “X Factor” is my ability to extract the talent in each mother I work with, helping them to see how valuable and monetizable their unique skills are. Mothers don’t realize how interests and skills such as cooking, organizing, book keeping, working out, gardening, and or DIY can all be monetized and scaled to build a wildly successful career from home.
For me, I am most proud of giving mothers a new hope for how they can experience both their career and family without every sacrificing either one.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Before launching my online brand, I joined my first business mastermind with the renowned businesses leader ( AKA – The Millionaire Maker), Danelle Delgado. One of our first assignments was to go live on Facebook sharing on a topic in our expertise area. It was THE MOST nervous I had ever been in my life. I somehow mustered the courage and I hit the “go live” button. From that point on, I forced myself to get as uncomfortable as possible going live, posting, and public speaking to develop my personal brand. Fast forward 10 months, I booked my first motivational speaking event on How to Build a Brand Inside Your Organization with over 1,500 professionals in the audience. We grow quickly when we force ourselves to get outside of our comfort zone.
Over the past five years+, I have built an online community of passionate women and mothers wanting to create their best life. I’ve found that showing them the raw behind the scenes of my life as a working mother (via my stories and short videos), has given them a place to feel at home on the internet. While most online personalities show the highlights of business and life successes through a flawless filter, I focus on sharing the struggles along with the triumphs of building a career and life you love. My audience has grown with me over the years; they’ve watched me launch a business, become a mother, and find my confidence as I’ve shifted to working from home.
My advice to any woman launching a personal online brand would be to be yourself. People engage with what is real and relatable when it comes to their desires, pain points, and how you can help them in their journey of growth (This strategy applies to any niche). From a content perspective, if we can pin-point the type of information our audience desires most, we can create that content theme over and over again in new and exciting ways.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Before I started my online business, I co-owned a brick and mortar personal training studio along with my husband. After pouring everything we had into this business, ultimately the model in place was not successful. We were heartbroken and felt defeated. Instead of giving up on entrepreneurial endeavors, I decided to pivot and reinvent myself. I took a deep look inside to determine what made me truly special. This was when I started embodying my own personal brand not only in my corporate career but online.
This experience taught me that sometimes we have to take a step back to take a step forward. I learned to trust the process and to ask tough questions regarding what is working and what is not working in my pursuits. Most importantly, I have learned that at any point, we have the ability to change our strategy and become something different; this applies to business and home life.
Rocky Balboa probably says it best, “It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward”. In life my perspective is we must keep dreaming, keep shining, and keep moving to physically experience the life we’re dreaming about.
