KING, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful project I have worked on is entitled “king”. It is soon to drop July 1st, 2024. With 15 songs carefully ordered in a way to maintain a consistent vibe vibration and frequency I am proud of this work. It is the first album I feel confident enough to perform and that I have mixed myself as KING Yabba.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My mission is to empower ears. My mission to be a hero for myself showing and being an example for the misguided and questioning youth. For those that doubt themselves consistently, I am the artist that has felt the same pain but has worked on myself and came out of ruts alone. I have come from the absolute bottom of the bottom in regards to this industry. Everything I got, I dreamed for, I prayed for, and I have manifested. I am a KING. Anyone that finds refuge within my music; is a king or queen as well.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I recently had to become my own engineer about 5 years ago. Why? Because I was introduced to recording music by my close friend back in high school. He was an engineer. He had to move on in life as well as so did so our time as engineer and artist dwindled away day by day. I was in school and playing basketball as well as about to go play college basketball in Northern California. I had to learn. I had to pivot.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I think what society can do is support its creators and their visions. Not dissuade us from achieving what hasn’t been achieved. I have a keen eye for talent as well as am a talent myself. I see much of it and know of my high ceiling Pertaining to my potential.
