We were lucky to catch up with Karina Villas Boas recently and have shared our conversation below.

Karina , appreciate you joining us today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?

Since the beginning of my career, I’ve been captivated by the art of visualizing and transforming spaces. Whether it was crafting the visual aesthetics of floor layouts or infusing my designs with a deep-seated passion, my commitment to enhancing visual spaces has always shone through. In 2015, I ventured into the world of real estate staging, gradually paving the way to establish my own design business.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’ve been fortunate to learn from successful entrepreneurs who mentored me. While my first business didn’t succeed, I used those lessons to enhance my career. Now, I strategically collaborate with marketing to attract our ideal customers. My business thrives on Referrals, Social Media, and Google, Where I leverage recognizable keywords to build our presence.

Have you ever had to pivot?

After the setback of my initial business, I became significantly more cautious with resource allocation and strategic planning. Our growth is now organic, which brings me a deep sense of satisfaction. Previously, I entertained various ideas about growth strategies, but now I find fulfillment in our steady and sustainable progress.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I see each personal home, work area, or hospitality space as a unique reflection of its owner. My goal is to bring joy to these environments. Looking ahead, my dream is to extend this mission to orphanages, hospitals, and schools, making these enhancements accessible to everyone.
