We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brandi Huff a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brandi thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we talk about all of your success, let’s start with a story of failure. Can you open up about a time when you’ve failed?
Failing three times on my real estate exam and going through three different brokerages was a challenging journey, but it ultimately led me to where I am now. It forced me to start over from scratch and reevaluate my approach. This experience taught me the importance of resilience and perseverance. It made me realize that I am not just an individual, but a business entity with my own mission, values, and unique ideas. Understanding this fundamental concept allowed me to develop new business strategies and embrace a fresh perspective. Through this journey, I have learned to embrace failure as an opportunity for growth and to constantly strive for improvement in all aspects of my real estate career.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Brandi Dejanae Huff, and I am a Realtor proudly serving Savannah, Georgia, and its surrounding areas. I ventured into the real estate industry inspired by my grandmother’s success in the field. Real estate has always held a special place in my heart, and I find immense joy in being part of an industry where I can assist you with one of your most significant purchases.
In addition to my passion for real estate, there are a few fun facts about me. I am a proud puppy mom to a lovable pit bull named Blaze, who brings endless joy and companionship to my life. Originally hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, I have now made Savannah my home and am dedicated to helping individuals and families find their perfect place in this beautiful city.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Despite facing setbacks, I persevered and overcame the challenges of the National/state real estate exam. It took me three attempts to pass, but I didn’t let that deter me from pursuing my passion. Determined to succeed in this career, I decided to take a crash course over the weekend before my third try. I knew deep down that this was the path I wholeheartedly loved and was meant to pursue. Starting something without finishing it has never been my style, and I refuse to give up. I firmly believe that no matter what obstacles life throws my way, I have the support of a higher power, and I am always capable of rising and moving forward.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I have discovered that the best source of new clients for me comes from casually networking with people wherever I go. Whether it’s attending networking events, participating in volunteer activities, hosting open houses, or even going door-to-door, I make it a point to engage with individuals and build connections. I believe in the power of leading by example, and I apply this approach everywhere I go. From striking up conversations at the gym to meeting potential clients at the park or even while grocery shopping, I seize every opportunity to generate leads and expand my network. By being proactive and making genuine connections, I have witnessed the positive impact it has on my client base and overall business growth.
