Millisa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?

Hello dear readers I am honored to have the opportunity to share my journey with you. As a full-time working mother with two small children at that time , I found myself in a job that did not fulfill my needs or passions. This realization led me to take a leap of faith and venture out on my own. Starting my business as a side hustle in my apartment, I slowly but steadily grew both my services and my knowledge.

The decision to transition my side hustle into a full-time job was not an easy one, but it was one that ultimately led me to open my own shop in a vibrant part of the city. Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, I am grateful that my business not only survived but thrived during that difficult year.

Through this journey, I have learned valuable insights and lessons. I have turned my pain into gain and have found great purpose in empowering others through my work. I have come to realize that creativity is not just a gift, but an essential tool in my industry. By creating beauty and educating others about the importance of caring for our bodies, minds, and souls, I have found fulfillment in my life’s path.

Well My name is Millisa but most people know me as Missy. My journey in the esthetics industry started at a young age, and I have dedicated myself to becoming a master esthetician and the proud owner of Bare Beauty in San Antonio. Being recognized as one of the best in the city in multiple categories is truly humbling and a testament to the passion and dedication I bring to my work.

My goal has always been to not only make my clients look beautiful on the outside but also to nourish their inner beauty. At Bare Beauty, I focus on holistic wellness, addressing the mind, body, and soul. This philosophy sets me apart from other shops, as I believe that true beauty comes from within.

I take great pride in manufacturing my own organic body oils, scrubs, and soaps, as I believe in providing my community with high-quality, chemical-free products. Education is also a key aspect of my approach, as I aim to empower my clients with knowledge about skincare and beauty regimes that will benefit them in the long run.

Despite facing challenges as a young mom, I have worked hard to obtain certifications and licenses to further advance my career and serve my clients to the best of my abilities. I am proud to have overcome stereotypes and proven that with dedication and perseverance, anything is possible.

I am committed to continuous growth and education to ensure that I remain at the top of my game for my clients. Ultimately, my main focus is on helping my clients become the best versions of themselves, both physically and emotionally

I can assure you that enduring storms instead of rainbows has shaped me into the strong, resilient woman that I am today. Losing everything in one swoop was a devastating blow, but with the support of my family, friends, and soul tribe, I found the strength to fight back and reclaim what was rightfully mine. It was a challenging journey of self-discovery and rediscovery of my inner power. I may have been knocked down, but I refused to stay down. This experience taught me the true meaning of gratefulness and reminded me of my warrior spirit. I am proof that no matter how dire the situation may seem, with perseverance and a strong support system, one can overcome even the toughest of obstacles.

I am forever grateful to my amazing clients and supportive community for the ongoing success of my business. While I may not be the most tech-savvy individual, their word-of-mouth recommendations have proven to be the driving force behind my constant flow of business. I am truly fortunate to work in an industry where the quality of my work speaks for itself, leading to a stellar reputation that is further enhanced by the achievements I have accomplished.
