We were lucky to catch up with Jayeden Christensen recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jayeden, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
During my high school career we went on a career day to the college where we got to explore the programs they have to offer. That’s when I sparked an interest in the massage program. Even though I always gave little massages here and there to family members and friends. Flash forward to college and after being in school for a couples months I knew I wanted to own my own massage business. I saw potential and had a dream! Part of that dream is still in the works. I was excited to see where this path could take me and now I see how far I’ve come and feel so accomplished but my journey isn’t over. I have some fun things up my sleeve. (For those of you stay tuned!) The idea behind J.U.S.T. Massage came to life when I was still in the massage program while taking the business course. Our instructor told us we had to come up with a business name and that’s when J.U.S.T. came to be. J.U.S.T. stands for Jayeden’s Unwinding Serenity Time.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi my name is Jayeden! I am the owner of JUST Massage. As I stated above JUST stands for Jayedens Unwinding Serenity Time. I have been in business for 6 years now and loving every minute of it. In my practice I offer therapeutic and relaxation massage. I also offer cupping, foot detox baths, and ear candling. I personally feel I’ve had a calling to be a massage therapist ever since I was a little girl! Owning my own business has been my biggest accomplishment. I hope to continue to practice for years to come to help current and future clients. As most know running your own business comes with its up and downs but the best part for me is having the flexibility.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
I believe my most effective strategy of growing my clientele is giving my clients the best massage I can give and really hone in on their needs to help them feel comfortable and better by the time they leave! In return them spreading the positivity about their experience with others is so important too. I also appreciate all the reviews I receive too as those can help future clients decide if I’m the right therapist for them!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I have my current and past clients to thank for the clientele base as word of mouth is the best gift you can receive from your clients.
I also have a Facebook page, google business page and yard signs that I know people see and get ahold of me that way.
