Angela , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

The risk I took was diving into entrepreneurship with no support, no knowledge, no resources, no money, and no team. I have had to reinvent myself several times over the years but it involved changing jobs and furthering my education to have a career. Never did I think of starting and scaling a business until my job ceased operations after I thought I was going to retire from the position.

Fast forward 11 years later I have built and sustained in the business world building a beauty and coaching business to 7 figures. I have also invested in real estate properties buying, selling, renting and wholesaling which has generating 6 figures for me over the last 8 years.

Angela , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am Coach Angela B. I am a business coach to beauty entrepreneurs even though I have coached all types of startups. I got into this industry when my job ceased operations and i decided to be different. Turns out I was good at teaching, and being resourceful, so I used that talent to show people that it is another way.

I help businesses scale their brand using non-traditional resources to include social media, digital resources and more. I focused beauty entrepreneurs because I believe they are so vital to the community and are so undervalued.

What sets me apart from others is I am knowledgable in so many genres and If I don”t know I have the patience to research it. I am very tech savvy, I know how to start from zero and monetize a brand.

I am most proud of the lives I have touched via business and life, and the connections I have made worldwide they have been so impactful. I am proud of myself I would never be this far if I had quit.

I want my clients, followers, and fans to know I am committed to their journey because when they win I and I go way beyond the finish line.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?

I am an avid reader, I listen to podcast, I host my own podcast Motivated Melanin which has taught me to speak better, share my knowledge with the world as I am always learning and always trying to educate others. I have a long list of books to recommend that have catapulted my journey. I know listening to books and podcast are a great addition, but there is nothing like a good paperback.

Business is holistic it taps into your spiritual, mental, physical, financial, and personal. So in order to really succeed ou have to learn to tap into all these areas. I don’t care how you have to get fed in these areas just get fed.

My story of resilience omg!
People only see success when they see you doing something different or become what they feel is successful because they never really know your story.

I have been married with children, divorced with children, I have been a single mother with help and without help. I remember being in what I felt was the highlight of my business and breaking my femur and having to learn to walk again. I remember not making a 1.00 a week to making 20k a week.

The truth is I kept moving through it all. the heart breaks, the ups and downs, the physical ailments. I got disciplined and became determined to not be stopped. I made it my duty to make a impact on others as I worked on me.

I want others to know it is a light at the end of the tunnel keep pushing, You dont need to move fast you just need to move.

The only limitations you have are the ones you place on yourself!
