Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Taiyone Fields. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Taiyone, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
With art being the core of my life, I look to it for escapism or transcendentalism. When I look for true emotional reaction, it was from art. It was my answer, my comfort, my world. That’s what I want my art to do for others. I want to be remembered as someone who brings a new world to others. I always what others to join me in my exploration of my artist escapism.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Té or Orionvisions_ on social media. I’ve been doing photography for +6 years. I decided on photography being my career path my senior year of high school after doing a digital media based project in my contemporary art class. After taking shots of people and building an eye for portraits, I fell in love.
I most do fashion, portrait and events but I have tried my hand in many different forms of photography to see what a I like and how I can hone my craft even more. And with a heavy background in illustration, it broadens my creative vision even more. To me, I think these things set me apart from other photographers who pick a niche and stick with it. I believe that is what gravitates people and clients to me.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My biggest goal is to have my own studio where I can fully flesh out all my creative wants and need. To my core, I am an artist, so I want that space that expresses that to the fullest

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Building and maintaining a good communication with people you network with is such a strong quality. People can tell you all the time how important it is to network but they never let you know how networking transitions into building a strong community and foundation. I remember there was a time where I really wasn’t getting seen by anyone. So one day I decided I should go to places and take pictures of random people. It brought me back to my roots of what started my love for photography and helped me build that community. I would stay in touch with those who loved art or were in creative fields and that help create opportunities for everyone around.
