We recently connected with Nick Carrera and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Nick , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.
A few years back. I was looking for space to host Chi Breathwork. After knocking on many doors and no response, a friend who I trained with at the time, sent me a picture of an ad in a local health magazine that had space for rent. From there I took what I studied and applied it, clients started coming in more and more, and that’s how I got my first job in the field.
Nick , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I teach a specific type of pranayama or yogic breathing, its purpose to utilize the breath to heal. We spend our entire lives breathing yet, many of us don’t know or have not been taught to utilize it, Chi Breathwork solves this problem. I know from living that we can accumulate and carry around in our bodies heavy emotional energy and get stuck in or by it. Living in a state of such can cause many problems. Chi Breathwork is the space and time we use to rid the body of accumulated heavy energy or trauma. I have story after story of the profoundness and clearing effects of Chi Breathwork. Chi Breath is very much an anti-stress, uplifting and empowering practice.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
During Covid, many things slowed down, expect those businesses deemed essential. I believe breathwork/breathing is essential. When things got slow I never forgot what my goal was, and I kept pushing toward it. Now that things are moving again, I am back still pushing it after being slowed downed.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back, I would choose the same profession over and over again.
