Karen , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
The best investment I have made was buying the jewelry truck. I never imagined it would have such a positive impact and be so well-received. It is truly adorable and has become my mobile store. It embodies the Brunetta experience.
I made this decision because I knew I wanted to start my own business and offer an unique product or service. Without the funds to open a physical store, I decided on a mobile shop. I wanted my customers to have a special and unique experience when visiting Brunetta Accessories.
The outcome has been incredible. The jewelry truck has not only allowed my jewelry to reach more people but has also created a strong emotional connection with my customers. They love the experience of personalizing their accessories in such a charming and unique setting.
I’ve learned that financial limitations can be an opportunity to be creative and think outside the box. This investment has shown me that with dedication, love, and a clear vision, it is possible to turn a simple idea into something extraordinary. Additionally, it has reminded me of the importance of adapting to circumstances and finding innovative solutions to make my brand stand out in a competitive market.

Brunetta Accessories is a Colombian jewelry brand, and what sets us apart is our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Most of our accessories are handmade by skilled Colombian artisans, ensuring each piece is sophisticated and unique. We take great pride in the variety and quality of our designs, which reflect both traditional and contemporary styles.
One of the most exciting features of our business is our jewelry truck, which we affectionately call the most adorable jewelry truck around. It provides a unique and engaging shopping experience, allowing customers to explore our collections in a charming and personalized setting.
I am incredibly proud of how far we have come. It has not been an easy journey, but perseverance and consistency have been key to our success. Brunetta has shown me how strong I am and how I’ve overcome numerous obstacles, making me a more confident woman.
The journey has taught me that everything takes time, dedication, love, and commitment. We have faced many challenges along the way, from sourcing high-quality materials to building a loyal customer base. Each challenge has been a learning opportunity, reinforcing the importance of resilience and adaptability.
Moreover, I’ve learned that success is not just about the end result but about the passion and effort you put into every step of the process. Building Brunetta has been a labor of love, and seeing the joy our jewelry brings to our customers is incredibly rewarding. This journey has taught me to celebrate every milestone, no matter how small, and to stay committed to my vision and values.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
When I decided to buy the jewelry truck, I knew it would be a significant initial investment, and I didn’t have the necessary funds. To startsaving, I took on a part-time job as a server. However, I quickly realized that it wouldn’t be enought.
The unconditional support of my mom was crucial. She lent me a large part of the investment needed to acquire the jewelry truck. Her belief in my vision was essential for taking that first step.
Despite the initial investment, I soon found that I needed more and more money. Many unexpected expenses arose, from importing the truck to purchasing materials. I had to use my credit card to cover these additional costs.
It was a very challenging period, as I often doubted whether I could afford to keep my business going. Every day seemed to bring new financialchallenges that felt insurmountable.
This experience taught me a lot about the importance of financial planning and resilience. I learned to be more resourceful and to make the most of every available resource.
Today, I look back and see that those difficult moments were essential for the growth of Brunetta Accessories. They helped strengthen my determination and develop skills that I continue to use in my business every day.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for increasing our clientele has been a combination of offering exceptional service, creating a unique shopping experience, and ensuring the quality and innovation of our products.
The love and dedication we put into every aspect of our business also play a crucial role.
