We recently connected with Rose Winter and have shared our conversation below.

Rose , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later?

I started as a content creator in Christmas 2022 and wish I had started earlier! Especially during the pandemic when people were craving content and connections. In saying that, I am a firm believer that it’s never too late to start.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I moved from Sydney Australia to Seattle USA back in 2012 with my Aussie husband. He was offered a job in tech and we were newly married and excited to explore a new country. As Australians, we are constantly traveling and new experiences. That led me to exploring all over Washington State and a majority of the US. I became an unofficial expert of things to do in Seattle and loved sharing about it to friends. People don’t realize how much there is to do in your own city. In December 2022 I decided to make my private Instagram profile public and continued to share about the fun things to do in the Seattle area. My following has grown over the last year and a half as I continued to show the best of Seattle and Bellevue and surrounds. As a mom, I still continue to explore the city and travel around the US and internationally.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect to being a full time content creator has been positive feedback from my followers on being excited about the things I share to actually getting paid for some of the content I provide through brand partnerships.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish I had listened to The Creative Edition podcast because it would have provided all the information I need on how to become a content creator. Instead, I have fumbled and had a steep learning curve over the last year and a half.
