We recently connected with Briana Pass and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Briana, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The best meaningful project I’ve worked on is my current project that is in process and it’s a book called “Dear Diary.”
“Dear Diary,” is based on inspiring stories and real life events from individuals all over the world with different backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities. We want our readers to know that no matter who you are, or how you look, everyone is similar in some type of way. We will be displaying participants anonymously or whoever chooses to reveal themselves will be featured in this book.
These storytellers will explain how they’ve overcome a harsh experience, moment or time in their past. This movement is to bring our readers into different worlds and show different points of views by trying to put others in the shoes of survivors who are either dealing with or have childhood trauma.
This is to uplift people that have dealt with domestic abuse, sexual abuse, abandonment etc… Any type of sacred story that you can think of will be acknowledged in this read. This can give people who feel like they don’t have a voice a platform to release anything that has been cuddled up inside of them. With these testimonies it can help bring some closure in some type of way. Join us to make a difference. Show your appreciation by supporting “Dear Diary,”. Briana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, I am 27 years old. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I did start writing at a young age, but got serious when I reached my junior high year of high school. I begin to write my first romance book called, “KillA.” I still have all the copies of the notebook paper from me actually handwriting that book. I mostly type now sometimes if I go into a writer’s block, I would read books and then sit down and hand write my story. I remember going to school and letting people read the first book that I’ve ever written it was very exciting to me. Now almost 10 years later, I am proud of how far I’ve came now I have seven published books and is working on an eighth one. I am also proud for always having the love to write, not caring about royalties or recognition from anyone just simply believing in my writing. I know that one day in the future as I continue to network, my talent will be known, respected and broadcasted.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The main goal I have is to know that I have organic supporters behind me and my craft. One day, I hope to be on a talk show or producing a movie based off the story of one of my books or becoming a speaker for all different type of communities whether it’s youth, women or men. Whichever lane that God pulls me in to I am willing and ready.

Any fun sales or marketing stories?
My favorite marketing company would go to Reader’s Magnet. I have the upmost respect for that company, because they were not trying to just get money from me. They researched me and knew a lot about my back history personally and the books that I’ve published. They were very kind, patient and helped a lot with my exposure. Before partnering with Reader’s Magnet, I had no clue how I could be in a book fair and they made my dream come true.
