We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Hailey Curtis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Hailey below.
Alright, Hailey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
We live in a country that has a culture of work over home life, which leads to most Americans working 40-80 hours a week leaving not a lot of time for cooking , grocery stores and incorporating healthy foods into their lives . The average American eats fast food 4-5 x a week due to convenience.
Our mission is to provide healthy fast convenient food that taste good and is good for you.
We truly do believe you are what you eat, and that healthy nutrition brings benefits to every aspect of your life. When you eat good foods, your mental health is affected drastically, which domino effects into your job performance, your marriages, your relationships with your children, friends and family and so much more.
Juiced Up is starting small but really aiming for growth to truly bring healthy convenient fast food that prioritizes quality, convenience, and education around the nation. (One store at a time ) haha

Hailey , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am 21 years old, I grew up with substance abuse addicted parents who struggled with mental illnesses and later on was put into the foster care system.
I have always been independent-
I moved out at 16 and really dove into my education and work ethic to prepare me strongly for my future.
Growing up around mental illnesses I started to follow down the road of anxiety and depression where I quickly got into fitness and health. I had realized how much fitness has a huge impact on mental health and that had been the starting point of my career and knew that other people need to know about how much this could help them.
During my journey I’ve discovered how healthy food also has an impact on our day to day life and noticed that there are no places that really truly prioritize the health aspect of their ingredients let alone making it convenient
Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?
Starting a business is difficult and take all of your time money and sanity realistically. Being resilient is a necessity in owning and starting a business.
There are so many times where I have failed and pivoted and failed and pivoted but for example :
I put my all , time and money into my company and we were doing good to start off , good not great. I had spent 20,000 in a line of credit and had employees on my payroll that I had to pay and produce ect to keep the company running and some months we were cutting even.
I had to dive deep into the leaking holes in my bucket .
Why weren’t we getting more people?
Why expenses were so high ?
What could I do to cut out and what could I put that money into that would give me a return.
I had gotten an over night job at the casino to slowly add my own money back into the business. As much as it may have sucked and probably not ideal. Nothing in business is going to go perfectly or how you planned .
Now because I reinvested more money time, redialling into these leaky holes. I finally was at a good point financially.
I then starting focusing on all my systems for a scaling stand point .
We are currently talking with investors for our next location

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Being that I have such a strong work ethic, I had to really learn to step out of working in the business and instead running the business
