Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tee Walls. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tee, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
Currently, I am working full time in data analytics, but I would love to earn a full-time living with music. Whether it’s a CEO of a record label or an independent artist, I’d love to be able to live off of those earnings.
I feel like I’ve always battled with one thing and that’s exposure and marketing. I can make some bomb music at any given day, but it is also pretty expensive to fund the marketing campaigns at times.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve been involved with music since an early age. I began to get very in tune with it all as early as 8 years old. Back then I was not sure how involved I wanted to be, but I’ve always just had such a good ear for a new melody.
I believe my drive and love for music is what sets me apart from the rest. I say that due to how I have never ever had any plans to not create music. I use it as my key source of displaying my emotions. I prefer to write and I actually do it quite often. Creating music that others can relate to is my passion. I want to be the voice of some people who are unable to truly express how they feel. I look at it as no matter what happens with my music career, I’ll never stop creating simply because I just enjoy it too much. I don’t want the fame, but I also want to be heard. Whether I am or not though won’t ever stop me. I’ll always create for my own sake.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Here recently. I’ve had to elevate my role in life to provide for my love ones. There’s been a lot occuring around me. Years ago, I was traveling, performing, etc all the time. I’ve had to take a step back due to finances and even a new addition in my household. I currently have two daughters and one son. From top to bottom, we got Amora at 4 almost 5, Maliya at 1 almost 2, and the new addition Verse who was born on May 30th of this year (2024). With them, I want them to view me as their hero and as that man that never stopped no matter what was in his path.
I’m currently writing, producing, and prepping a the release of my next installment. VAN 2. IYKYK.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The goal with all of this has always been for my own mental state. Man listen, I don’t care if nobody heard my last single. You know why? It just motivates me to get even more creative, even more in sync, it literally pushes me to another level. Eventually I’d like to be my own boss in a sense. I don’t plan to stop until that’s accomplished.
