We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kofi Ntonni. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kofi below.
Hi Kofi, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with something countless entrepreneurs have had to figure out on the fly – how have you dealt with the rise of remote work?
I was able to transition my business from in person to online training. It was difficult at first but I learned on the fly. Now, I can train people all over the country right in the comfort in their homes.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Kofi Ntonni. You can call me Coach Kofi. I have experience in boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, MMA and strength training. I created my own business in 2014. When I attended Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, a female was almost attacked by a stranger and some women asked me if I could some them some self defense training. When I trained a few women, they started to let other people know on campus about their experience. From there, a friend recommended I create a business while I was in graduate school.
What sets me apart from other trainers is I have participated in martial arts tournaments, I trained with professional fighters, and I helped people win medals/trophies in tournaments.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Intergrity. Being honest with people from the beginning. It became frustrating because I didn’t have no clients and most people didn’t want to give me a chance.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I allow my past/present clients to communicate with me regardless if they are still training or not. I still want to help them on their fitness joruney.
