Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rhonda Johnson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Rhonda, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents taught me about determination and perseverance. As African Americans growing up during the Civil Rights movement and baby boomer era, my parents had to be very determined to rise above their own circumstances from poverty to economically prosperous in the 1970’s and 1980’s. With roots into that determination and perseverance, like a tree, branches of self-determination, an awareness of the strength of the African American culture and the feelings of possibility of doing better were passed down onto me. Not so much a story but an idea that lives in me still is the fact that I never felt like I could not achieve my goals of going to college and getting my master’s degree and I am working on my second in my beloved field of mental health.
It is this determination and perseverance that I bring to my clients who are business owners (women owned) to put themselves first, prioritize their mental health, grow their business in a way that does not involve perfection, people pleasing or being a superwoman. Being a determined woman who does not feel she has to be a superwoman to better in her business is powerful way for my clients to be vulnerable and authentic to themselves and to their clients.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into this business because, as a perfectionist and people pleaser with superwoman tendencies, I was on the fast track to burnout. I figured a lot of other women must feel the same—stuck in this exhausting cycle and unsure how to break out.
As I grew my business, I noticed that being an entrepreneur can make these tendencies even worse. No matter what field you’re in—whether you’re a makeup artist or a therapist—you’re often giving so much to your clients that you end up running on empty.
That’s why I’m here. I want to help you refill your cup with practical coaching that gives you real skills. Let’s ditch the perfectionism, people-pleasing, and superwoman mindset, and find a way to succeed without burning out. We’re all human, after all, and it’s time we start treating ourselves like it.
What is the main thing I want for the clients to know:
I offer a range of webinars and downloadable digital products like journals, workbooks, and guides designed to help you thrive. But the heart of what I do is my flagship product: the 5-Step Framework for Women’s Empowerment Mastery. This framework is all about empowering women to excel in both their personal and professional lives.
Here’s a quick rundown of the five steps:
1. Embrace Your Flaws & Time Management Mastery: Learn to manage your time effectively while accepting and loving your imperfections.
2. Boost Your Self-Esteem & Boundary Setting and Self-Care: Build your confidence and establish healthy boundaries to take better care of yourself.
3. Reclaim Your Power & Declutter and Delegate: Take back control by decluttering your life and delegating tasks that don’t need your direct attention.
4. Set Boundaries Like a Boss & Mindset Shift: Develop strong boundaries and shift your mindset to overcome obstacles and embrace opportunities.
5. Live Courageously & Supportive Community: Live boldly with the support of a community that understands and uplifts you.
-Additionally, business owners who join my coaching program have the option to develop a plan with a Personal Virtual Assistant and a Strategic Decision-Making team. This means you can focus on high-value activities that grow your business, while we handle the details.
Imagine having more time and the right tools to boost your social media presence (and website creation and maintenance) effectively, without the overwhelm. That’s what sets my services apart. Let’s work together to make your business shine and give you the empowerment you deserve!
I want you to know that I am incredibly proud of my 5-Step Women’s Empowerment Mastery Framework. Implementing these steps along with working with a personal assistant has completely transformed my life. When I learned to set boundaries, I discovered the power of delegation. As women, we often try to do it all, aiming to be superwoman. But from my experience, a true superwoman knows how to say no and delegate effectively. I can show you how to master this too.
I understand that the idea of coaching can be intimidating and even a bit scary. But please know that we’re in this together. My top priority is to create a safe, supportive environment where you can feel comfortable opening up. Being a female business owner is tough and rarely as glamorous as it looks on social media. I totally get that, and I’m here to help you navigate these challenges.
Let’s work together to overcome perfectionism and people-pleasing tendencies while building a strong, impactful online presence. You don’t have to do it all alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started a Facebook group in August 2023, and it’s been growing ever since. A couple of key things have helped me shape the group into what I want it to be. Posting live videos and engaging with everyone who comments is crucial—it’s something you need to learn to do authentically to generate real engagement.
The real game changer for me has been working with a personal assistant. They handle putting together the posts, while I focus on interacting with the comments, posting live videos, and conducting webinars. It’s a great balance that keeps everything running smoothly.
I’d highly recommend exploring personal assistants (like the amazing one I work with—reach out to me if you want details!) to see how they can help you too. Increasing your visibility is key to growing your business and connecting with your ideal audience.
You don’t have to feel overwhelmed or scared about getting your business online. Reach out to me, and I’ll show you how to make it happen!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I’ve had to unlearn perfectionism, people-pleasing, and trying to be a superwoman—just like I help women do in my business. Here’s a bit of my story: at the end of 2022, I was overwhelmed with anxiety and fear, with no time for myself. My mom had several health setbacks that year, and since she lives with me, I was the primary caregiver. I was running on fumes and couldn’t figure out why I felt so depleted.
It turns out, years of being a perfectionist, people-pleasing, and trying to be everything to everyone had completely worn me out. I had to quickly figure out who I really was and how to take care of myself. After doing the hard work and getting back to a strong place, I realized other women must be going through the same thing—and I could help.
I help women navigate through this mess and become authentic and self-assured. It hasn’t been easy, and I still struggle sometimes, but now I’m aware of it and have the skills to course-correct before burning out.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, let’s work together to find your balance and build your confidence. You don’t have to do it all alone—I’m here to help!
