We were lucky to catch up with Mor Ben Haim recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mor, thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I believe I was around six years old when I first decided that I want to be a performer. It was quite early, and I didn’t fully understand what that entailed, but my instincts were spot on. Although I wasn’t sure what form it would take or exactly what I wanted to do, I had a deep sense that I could make a difference in the world through art and storytelling. I began my journey as a singer and a dancer, however, acting had always lingered in the back of my mind since high school. Inevitably I made the decision to pursue acting professionally and set off to chase my dream.

Mor, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m an Israeli actress and filmmaker who leaped across the ocean to pursue my dream of becoming an actor.
Israel is a melting pot of cultures, religions, and ethnicities, and growing up there immersed me in a rich blend of stories and experiences.
From a young age, I was captivated by the power of cinema to connect people across borders and bridge divides. This passion inspired me to pursue acting and filmmaking as a way to express myself creatively and to remind audiences that, despite our differences, we are all united by our humanity.
My journey into the industry began with a deep love for theater, which eventually grew into a desire to explore the world of film. After completing my IDF service, I made the decision to move to Los Angeles and pursue my dreams on a larger stage.
As an actress, I strive to bring authenticity and empathy to every role I inhabit. I’m committed to using my platform to amplify voices that are often overlooked. In addition to my work in front of the camera, I’m also deeply passionate about filmmaking. I believe that the art of cinema has the power to inspire change, challenge perceptions, and spark meaningful conversations. I approach each project I work on with a sense of purpose and commitment.
One of the things I’m most proud of in my career is the opportunity to collaborate with incredibly talented artists from diverse backgrounds. Through these collaborations, I’ve had the privilege of exploring a wide range of perspectives and experiences and learning something new from every person I worked with. “Once you stop learning, you start dying” – Albert Einstein
Additionally, I am very proud of developing my first project that holds a very special place in my heart . The film explores the often overlooked topic of Early-Onset Dementia. Contrary to the common misconception that dementia only affects the elderly, Early-Onset Dementia impacts people in the prime of their lives. This issue resonates with me profoundly, as I witnessed my grandparents struggle with it and eventually succumb to the disease.
With this personal story I aim to shed light on the challenges faced by individuals and families struggle with this condition, while also highlighting the resilience and humanity that shines through even in the face of such adversity. It’s a story that I’m incredibly passionate about, and I can’t wait to share it with audiences around the world.
What sets me apart as an artist, both as an actress and a filmmaker, is my strong belief in the power of empathy and connection. I aim to create work that not only entertains but also helps people understand and appreciate our shared experiences. Through my roles and stories, I try to remind audiences of what we have in common, encouraging them to see the world from different perspectives.
To potential clients, followers, and fans, I want you to know that my work is a labor of love, fueled by a commitment to making a positive impact in the world. Whether you’re watching one of my films, attending a performance, or engaging with me on social media, I hope that you’ll come away feeling inspired, moved, and connected to something greater than yourself.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission or for a better word, calling, is to use storytelling as a force for positive change and unity. Through my work as an actress and artist, I aim to shed light on important issues ,challenge perspectives, and inspire meaningful conversations that can lead to real-world impact. I believe wholeheartedly that stories can change the world.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
As an actress and filmmaker, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is to have the opportunity to impact people’s lives.
There’s something incredibly fulfilling about creating characters and narratives that resonate with people, and that make them laugh, cry, think, and feel.
Moreover, being an artist allows me to express myself, explore the depths of human experience, and to connect with others on a profound level. It’s a journey of self-discovery, growth, and creativity that continually inspires and challenges me.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of knowing that my work has touched someone’s life in a meaningful way, and that’s what drives me to continue creating and telling stories.
