We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lynne Pike a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lynne, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
My journey to Ayurveda began with my love of traveling. I loved seeing new cultures, observing different ways of life, and experiencing how others lived alongside nature. I bootstrapped my way through nearly a decade of adventures across the world.
I first heard about Ayurveda while at Kripalu in Massachusetts. Not being able to afford tuition there as a 20-something, I volunteered to work-study and was lucky enough to be able to attend lectures while there.
One day, a talk on Ayurveda caught my attention. My ears perked up intently as I listened to the beautiful woman sharing about this life-changing science from the front of the room. I felt I’d discovered the secret of life itself, and knew deep inside that my own life would be forever changed.
Then, I began traveling again and didn’t think about Ayurveda for a while…
My travels led me to living and teaching as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Moldova and it was there, I realized my true calling was Ayurveda.
I was cleaning my host family’s house on a rare day to myself, when all of a sudden, a wave of sensation came over me reminding me about Ayurveda. And more than just a reminder, intensely nudging me that this was my life PURPOSE.
Like many dreams, it took me years to bring mine to fruition. I became a yoga teacher, a wife, a mother of three. I faced the tragedy of losing a pregnancy and the challenges of trying to conceive. I experienced the joys of birth, breastfeeding, bonding, and beyond. All the while… Ayurveda was there waiting for me.
Today, I guide clients in their own journey of connecting with self. Healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually. No matter where anyone is along their path, no matter what they’re experiencing, no matter where they want to go.
Ayurveda welcomes you in.
I welcome all individuals to this path to find more peace and equanimity in their lives through the wisdom of Ayurveda. The middle path, Ayurveda offers a bridge across all cultures, boundaries, backgrounds and experiences.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Lynne Pike, an Ayurvedic Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in Ayurveda and Yoga.

I hold space for your concerns and help you see connections you may not have known existed. I believe you’re a whole human being, just as you are. I guide you to restore and reconnect with your vitality.
Maybe you’re ready to jump right in and learn all you can about your health and wellbeing. Perhaps there’s been something that’s felt “off” for a while and you can’t quite put your finger on what it is. Or you’re facing a specific issue or challenge with your health. Maybe everywhere you’ve turned solutions and answers have eluded you, and you’re frustrated and tired.
I want to help you find your equilibrium.
Ayurveda helps you live a harmonious, healthy lifestyle that’s uniquely supportive.
Ayurveda can help you heal and restore from ailments and symptoms; rebalance as you find the path of moderation; manage the stress in your life; reduce burnout; find a lifestyle of ease and flow, even amidst the noise and constant motion of society.
Ayurveda is about restoring the wholeness of YOU.
When we work together, no issue is overlooked. Nothing is too large, too small, too much or not enough.
Whether you’re facing:
– Digestive issues
– Endometriosis and women’s health complications
– Pregnancy or postpartum
– Diabetes and blood sugar regulation challenges
– Pain, fibromyalgia, or migraines
– Fatigue or burnout symptoms
– Arthritis and musculoskeletal issues
– Autoimmune conditions
– Insomnia, apnea, restless leg syndrome, or other sleep disorders
– Or another problem entirely
Ayurveda is a philosophy of moderation, patience, and intention.
We work together to uncover the root cause of your symptoms, and address all parts of you, as a whole.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
I would choose this path every time.
A career is something, most often, that you look back on with clarity. When we navigate and move through life however, we typically make decisions one at a time. And it is the cumulative impact of these decisions that make up your life, what your contributions are, and ultimately what your career looks like.
We rarely have all the answers up front. But that doesn’t mean you don’t know where you’re going.
Making the conscious decision to stay open to possibilities, to follow your heart and gut, and to change your mind — these are the things that allow you to follow your path. Especially when you’re able to let go of traditional definitions of what “achievement” should be.
Realizing that a career is a string of life-time goals, taken one piece at a time, makes career choices achievable. All comes in due time. And living out one decision at a time takes the stress of “building a career” off of your shoulders.
I would always choose the path that led me to Ayurveda. My life is made up of many small (yet life-changing) decisions that have helped shed light on what my purpose is and brought me closer to fulfilling it.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
One of our most effective strategies for growing clientele has been growing personal relationships.
Creating local brand awareness is important because we are a small business and Ayurveda is not yet well known.
There are two pieces of communication we focus on: 1. What is Ayurveda? 2. How do the services at Ayurveda with Lynne help others?
Our success has largely been rooted in our involvement within our community.
Building relationships is an important part of any business, but especially if you’re small. It gives you the opportunity to learn about other people, the needs of individuals, the needs of your community, and how to be of better service to those around you.
