Brihem, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?

My company’s name is Vi3ions, and the number 3 holds significant meaning as it represents a simple yet profound concept: 1. How you view yourself, 2. How others view you, and 3. How you view yourself based on how others view you. This concept emerged from my life experiences. I was the kid from the neighborhood who attended a Catholic school, the geek who was also a star basketball player, the seemingly misplaced piece that always found its fit in the bigger picture.

I have always been intrigued by the idea that certain things are deemed impossible. This fascination drove me to become the person who makes the impossible possible. It’s a driving force for me, a chip on my shoulder. I fully commit to every challenge, even when it’s difficult, and I always find a solution. I refuse to let anyone define who I am or what I am capable of achieving.

My name is Brihem Johnson. I am 29 years old, a father, recent graduate with a Master’s in Digital Marketing, and a businessman. I founded Vi3ions, my digital media company, under unexpected circumstances. It all started when a friend’s photographer canceled her birthday photoshoot. She came to my house and asked me to take her pictures with her digital camera. Although I had never used a camera before, I had always enjoyed capturing moments on my phone. I agreed to help, and after taking her pictures in my parking lot, she was thrilled with the results. She remarked on my natural talent despite my inexperience.

At that time, I had just graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business. Inspired by her feedback, I decided to turn my newfound skill into a business. Remarkably, within the first six months, people started offering me photography equipment, which I saw as a sign that this path was meant for me. Now, eight years later, I am a commercial print photographer and a digital marketing professional.

Beyond the digital world, I am passionate about helping people plan for their future and create generational wealth through financial planning.I am a photographer and digital marketer specializing in portraits and commercial print photography. I focus on creating magazine-quality images and billboard-ready visuals. My reputation is built on my artistic and lifestyle portraits, which capture unique and compelling moments.

In the realm of marketing, I excel at connecting the dots like a spiderweb, orchestrating comprehensive strategies that drive brand growth. I have worked extensively behind the scenes for various brands, helping them scale their businesses, promote their products, and enter markets they once thought were out of reach.

I take immense pride in my ambition and work ethic. I strive not just to be good, but to be great in everything I do. I love pushing myself further each time and constantly developing new skills. My goal is to be an example that the impossible is possible.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

i had to unlearn feeling like i did not have a support system. I truthfully have a great support system, though I struggled to see it initially because I expected it to come from specific people rather than those who were actually there for me. My greatest support comes from my partner, the mother of our son. She has always been in my corner, listening and providing a shoulder to lean on. Our son, though only four, helps me relive childhood moments that spark my creativity, especially during times of creative block.

My mother, who worked tirelessly as a single parent to raise me, has been a cornerstone of support. As I grew into a man and father, my relationship with my own father became significant. He has shown me the importance of perseverance, regardless of others’ opinions. He is a blessed businessman and a true example of how people can change, even if others continue to see them as they were.

I am also supported by friends who have become family. College buddies and lifelong friends like Antwoine stand out. Antwoine has never let me forget my potential, always reminding me of my greatness. He is the kind of friend everyone wishes to have, and I am grateful to call him my brother. Additionally, the Neumann family, who have also become family,

Although I have many other friends who support me, the list could go on indefinitely. I’ve learned that support often looks different from what we visualize, and it’s essential to recognize and appreciate it in its various forms. Ultimately, I’ve realized that it’s not about my plan but God’s plan first.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

Yes, my side hustle did turn into my full-time business and career. It all began unexpectedly when a friend’s photographer canceled her birthday photoshoot. So, within the first six months, people began offering me photography equipment, which I saw as a sign from God that this path was meant for me. Throughout this time i was offering free shoots to develop my skills and gain my confidence for when clients were ready to work with me.

One of the key milestones was launching Vi3ions and securing my first major client. This project boosted my confidence and provided a portfolio piece that attracted more clients. I had always been good with connecting the dots so i used my network to develop my net-worth. As I gained experience, I expanded my services from portraits to commercial print photography, aiming for magazine-quality images and billboard visuals. This was one of the most exciting changes i made, i gave me the chance to tap back into my artistic background. When i was a child i use to spray paint and draw, so photoshop became my canvas. Building a team was initially challenging, but as my business grew, I have attracted talented individuals who aligned with my vision, but it was not my main focus. Adding my teammates has been crucial for scaling up and managing larger projects.

I diversified my skills in digital marketing, allowing me to offer comprehensive services to my clients and helping them scale their businesses and reach new markets. Over the years, my work in artistic and lifestyle portraits gained recognition, leading to more significant opportunities and collaborations. I continuously push myself to learn new skills and stay ahead in the industry, ensuring that Vi3ions remains at the forefront of creativity and innovation.
