Alyssa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

When I learned how to heal and liberate myself, I felt called to share everything I learned with the world! I want to be a leader for those who want to connect deeper with themselves, their experiences, and others! I teach spiritual lessons that can make life peaceful and more enjoyable, and I show people how to embody those lessons. The spiritual wisdom that I share is practical to apply and transformative on every level. Alchemic Alyssa is an inclusive, compassionate, and expansive online space for everyone.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I started my journey to become a spiritual teacher and embodiment coach in the fall of 2023, and created my online business Alchemic Alyssa (originally named Soul Discovery). I always knew I wanted to be a creator online and connect with people, I just never knew what my passion and purpose was until I started studying spirituality and psychology. It couldn’t have came at a better time for me, as I was working on healing from many pains in my own life. I suffered from severe anxiety, deep rooted shame after abuse and trauma, addiction, and self harm. I believe that healing is always possible and life can always get better. I teach people how to level up mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A lesson that I had to unlearn was that “it’s not safe to be seen.” As a trauma survivor, I know how it feels to want to hide and avoid being seen, being too loud, being too much of anything. I was so afraid to be judged, mistreated, or completely rejected. I didn’t want to show up in my business and put my voice and my story out there because the comfort of my safety zone was so real. The truth is that growth is usually uncomfortable and you deserve to trust yourself. You deserve to fly. It takes time to learn who you are, and then how to express yourself in your fullness. This is a huge part of what I do as an embodiment coach. Embodiment is all about authenticity.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

In the fall of 2023, I knew I couldn’t ignore the call to teach and I wanted to get something started as soon as I could. I took a few weeks to decide on a name and I picked Soul Discovery Center. It felt good enough at the time and I felt obligated to stick with it, in the name of professionalism. It just never hit the way I wanted it to! A few months later, I wrote my first online guide Spiritual Alchemy 101. The dissatisfaction of the name Soul Discovery Center was creeping up more than ever. I wanted a name for my business that was more personal so I came up with the name Alchemic Alyssa as a way to honor where my spiritual journey started. It’s hard to pivot, rebrand, or change parts of your business because the fear of failure loves to lurk in the shadows. I decided to experience this change as a lesson in following your satisfaction and giving yourself permission to evolve.
